This tavern was inspired by one of my favorite Irish pubs, "Fiddlesticks", on Greenwich Street in the West Village. The front of the pub opens up on nice days, and tables are set up on the sidewalk.
Above the tavern is a few floors of apartments, serviced by some fire escapes on the side of the building.
this is great, it captures the real aura of NYC, its not the statue of liberty or empire state, its jus a yellow cab parked on a crowded sidewalk with the sun glaring down on a shabby building!
I looked up "Fiddlesticks" on Greenwich Street in the West Village, even though the only picture I found only shows the ground level and the next floor up, you can see the obvious inspiration, I'm sure your rendition is very similar, from what I could tell from the picture I found it is. Anyway, I love the little outdoor sitting area, great work as always.

I am trying to create something similar and this gives me inspiration :)
