Comes the Walleye two-seat radar support aircraft. Usually responsible for escorting strike fighters and tactical bombers, the 11 IIB detects, locates, and jams enemy sensors and missile locking systems.
About this creation
Here is the crown-jewel of the -IIB, its Series XM997 ranging/detection system. It is the largest system carried by an aircraft of this size in service.
A close-up of the ECM or Electronic Counter-Measures pod. This takes out electronic detection equipment by creating multiple false returns that show up on enemy screens.
One of the more advanced systems of the Walleye is this target resolution scanner. Used to assist tactical bombers, this system increases the targeting resolution of these aircraft by shining an electronic "Spotlight" on a target; often using the targets sensor output for a homing beacon.
