Quoting Primus Maximus How long does it fire, and can I tweak it to shoot a spear, with long distance? How may pieces are there? Nice job!
It didn't shoot very far at all, it was more designed to be the correct size. I don't think there is a very good way to make it shoot a spear without having a large hole where the barrel is supposed to be or without having to modify bricks. With this design I found that if you make it more powerful it just becomes super fragile if it even holds itself together at all. I had it just explode on me one time while doing a power capacity test. I have absolutely no clue how many pieces are in it.

Thanks, I know the instructions aren't very good, but I wasn't going to spend anymore time on them. It took long enough as is. You don't have to send me pics if its too much trouble, although go ahead and post it. Just make sure you give me credit

Quoting Telamon Models I made an arctic camo one but the mech is the same, it is very weak, it jams, AND it breaks VERY EASILY i'm just not that impressed with this one ~Telamon
Haha yeah, it's really weak. This was made more as just a test to see if I could fit a shooting mech inside of a 1:1 scale pistol. The handle falls off pretty easily although that is the only problem I had with something breaking on/in it.

Quoting Roy Reznov Sorry for the misunderstanding, so you're saying your model has a functional trigger and when its pulled the slide gets pushed back, and when you release the trigger the slide returns? If yes, care to explain how? I must have built it wrong....I am also unclear about the function off thee rod/hammer, for me it just seems too prevent the trigger from returning after being pulled...
There is no "blow back mechanism" in this model. The point of the hammer is to fire the rod that you put in the barrel. If you look at the original post of this model then you will know what I mean.

Quoting Roy Reznov I really like your creation mate. I was just wondering, could you provide me instructions to make a functional trigger, safety, and a barrel that automatically slides out when the trigger is pulled? I understand you only made a model, but I was hoping to get something more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pr-lTCb5JfA Let me know if you can help, thanks.
This model does have a functional trigger and it shoots. I'm not going to make instructions for that kind of a mechanism because I personally do not like it. You can search here on MOCpages or elsewhere to find that mechanism. By the way, the barrel doesn't slide out. The slide is pushed back to simulate recoil, although the slide is not pushed back during the trigger pull. The slide is pushed back after the trigger is pulled. Sorry about the long winded reply. I hope something in this was useful to you or others.

Are you talking about the pieces that are used on for the slide? If so I'm not sure what you could use in place of them. If not the specify where the piece is and i will try to help out.

sorry i cant really help you out. i no longer have the gun put together. all i can say is look at the 10+ pics and then play around with making it in different ways untill you get it. these instructions were intended for people who can look at something and build it.

Quoting M De Wit I Love IT! I have build it, but it can't shoot anything. But it looks Awesome so I keep it :)
to the fact that yours cant shoot anything 1.you built something wrong 2.the rubberbands you are using are too weak 3.you are trying to shoot out the wrong type of axl. the correct type are the ones that are very thin, not the thicker technic ones

Quoting Jess B How does the rubber lock into place in the second part of the barrel? It's a great model but this piece is really confusing me. Can u help, PLEAzZZZZzzz Also what is the red curved part called in the barrel. I need to buy it from Lego
1st- it gets pushed behind 2 of those small round pieces. there is enough room for them to fit behind. btw, i know that some parts of the instructions are kind of difficult but just use your lego building knowledge, you should be able to figure it out 2nd- i have no idea what it is called. i dont know the official names of any of the lego pieces. if i were to guess i would say try looking up "roofing tile" but i have no idea
