Enter His Lordships Hummingbird. A small, quick craft made for scouting and small anti-infantry uses. This is my first venture into Steampunk, and it certinly won't be my last. CC is welcome and encouraged. Have a nice day!
About this creation
The Hummingbird has two seperate boilers, one located in each engine, but the steam is put through a single exaughst port, not only to reduce the heat to the pilot, but to make it less noticable.
The rotors can pivot independantly of each other, making the humming bird able to turn very quickly. They can tilt forwar for more forward thrust, and tilt back to go in reverse. When both rotors are vertical it can hover with its two wings, hence the name, Hummingbird.
Armermant: Two small anti-infantry machine guns, capable of piercing light armor as well. They are fired in short bursts to prevent overheating, so the limited ammunition lasts a suprisingly long time.
A small radio communications array, used to speak to its fellows in the air.
Proof that the Hummingbird fits a fig. The controls mount the machine guns, so none is featured here.
How the machine guns and communication array is attached. Gotta love that treading!
A single detached rotor.
Closing shot. The Hummingbird tactic of attack is to drop from the sky, making full use of its dual rotors, and to hang above the ground, mowing down the infantry below. When you hear the whirring, duck and cover!

Nice technique with the tracks! I like how the pilot is completely enclosed inside the 'bucket'. It adds character. One of the things I find hard are thinking of original concepts... sometimes, simple is best! :) |

Lovely. Simple and effective; just how I like it. I can see these being dropped like pods from a larger transport. Overall, excellent work. |
