A heavy mecha for the NEOS. Enjoy!
About this creation
Although the Beast is not my largest mecha, it is one of the heaviest due to the armored cockpit and heavy weapons. Armaments: one light anti-infantry machine gun, one heavy anti-armor chaingun, one quad-barreled RPG launcher, 10 medium anti-armor missiles (6 on front, 4 on top), and two tactical nuclear warheads.

Head shot. I didn't use a windshield on this mecha, mostly because I couldn't find one with that 'heavy duty' look.

the ladder is probably one of my favorite features of this walker. it eliminates the need for a mech bay, and it just looks cool.
the hatch is part of the ladder, and only opens when the ladder is deployed. the hatch (open in this picture, see the blue hole) leads to a small cargo area and a crawl space that goes to the cockpit.
there's a small locker for weapons and supplies in the small cargo area.
the cockpit, which I like a lot. plenty of leg room.

Wow, very good mech! It reminds me of Exo-Force's Grand Titan, mixed with the Battletech mechs. One question, though. Why is the cockpit attached to the ladder?? Because if the ladder came undone, the pilot would fall out of the mech and maybe even get stomped!! |

Nice work! Love the mechwarrior feel to this. You did a particularly good job with the cockpit. It could use some smooth panels here and there, though. |

yeah, it took some time to balance it out, but the upper legs were thick enough to act somewhat as counterweights. giving a mech that "heavy" look is rather tough. as for the lighting, I just use a couple of lamps and some natural light from a nearby window. nothing too fancy. |

I think the mech itself is a bit top heavy...what do you use for your lighting? and I think that the Flag would be great for the group pic... |
