Super Chief Passenger Train (custom 7-wide version)
About this creation
My custom 7-wide version of the Santa Fe Super Chief. I followed the lead of fellow train club members Stefan Garcia (8-wide) & Larry P. (6-wide) in doing Alco FA & FB units in hypothetical warbonnet trim. I like the snub nosed look of the FA.
The cars are built using rare pearl light gray plates, bricks, and tiles wherever possible, helping give them a metallic luster. Specialty elements, such as the doors and the rounded off roof bricks, are unavailable in pearl light gray and thus remain in traditional light gray. Currently there are no interior details in the cars, however the roofs are removable leaving me the future option to do so.

Incredible detail work on this MOC. I've experimented with 7-wide myself, but could never quite get the 2-stud centered doorway. How did you do it? (Nevermind, figured it out) :-)
Excellent MOC! (Especially for its age!) Surprisingly few comments. Hopefully this MOTD will grant it some of the exposure it deserves. I would have liked a photo of the undercarriage of the coaches, showing how the bogies are made.
Love the 7-Wides! I see you and there amazing trains at every train show that MichLUG takes part in! I've also never seen a 7 wide ALCO before, good job!
