***** 100/10 I really wish it would let me rate it that. This thing is amazing, completely epic! The pics probably can't even show half the details’ this thing has. My biggest ship, and only ship for that mater, is a 1/4 minifig scale escort carrier. This thing must be 20 times as big, 30 maybe. Not just talking time and space wise this thing is amazing by how many parts must be in it. You must have spent $10,000 to build this. Really amazing, words lack to describe it. Heck drooling, waving your arms around in amazement, then passing out from its shear epicenes couldn't describe it. Fantastic job! |

WOW. This is the worst MOC I have ever seen in my life! Aside from the amayzing acuracy, infinite details, and pure awsomeness, it sucks! I don't know much about warships, but man, it probably looks like the real thing.
A few questions though:
1. Where in the whole world did you get all those pieces????!!!
2. Is there any metal rods or extra support for those 300 lbs of LEGOs?
3. How did you figure it out?
Thanks,
It's awsome |

I have been following the building of your minifig LEGO Yamato for the last 4 years. I built my Yamato to a smaller scale 1"/108" (or 1" = 9'). I finished mine 1 month after yours. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/101888
Mine is only 8' Long, not 22' like yours. I'm making 'Operation Ten Go' from World War 2. Your ship is very beautiful!!! :-) Marcello LEGO Master Ship Builder |

I apologize if I seemed to have insult you, Junpei, about the whole cannon thing but I was just wondering how it would have looked had you redesigned the turret cannons that way. Also, I sure wish that there would be a way to put the motor that actually turned the turret into the actual turret itself but the motor that you was using was simply too big for the job. Anyway, I showed my parents this creation and they were also impressed with it as well. The people that looked down on you on YouTube are clearly jealous of your skills. |

Thank you for posting this on Mocpages, I know some high profile Moc's never make it here because people think this site is just for kids, but it's NOT! Anyway, congratulations on building the biggest Lego ship ever! It's hard to comprehend the time and effort that went into making this. The only problem is (as I am finding out) when you make something this spectacular, you always have an urge to build something bigger and better next. |

This is one of things that makes legos so great you can build things better cooler than anyone else, but later on some on is going to beat you with something like this. This is one of the lego masterpiece. |

It's a pleasure to see this absolute triumph here on MOCpages. I think Mark Kelso is correct that this amazing model will really be remembered for ages. Wonderful, wonderful work. I would love to see more close-ups of the details throughout the ship... I can tell that every detail you put into this was a true labor of love.
I'm glad to hear that from such great builders like you.
I added some more detailed photos. Enjoy!! |

I remember having seen pieces of this cosntruction on brickshelf for ages. I thought it was a too-big project that had been abandoned...
The size and scope of the finished MOC is incredible, and no photos, video or MOC-page presentation can of course do it justice.
I congratulate you and salute you. You can be very proud of youerself!!! |

I meant to say this in a previous comment, but, for some reason, it would not allow me to say it on here. As for another way to round off your cannons some more, Junpei, I would suggest using some 2x2 curved bricks. Four of those bricks put together leads to a perfect circle and many of them together would also make for an awesome looking cannon. Try it sometime, please. |

I could see it being displayed in a museum mall or anywhere for all the public to see. It would be a shame if you had to take it apart, unless you where planning on using the pieces to make the Musashi or the Bismarck. |

O_O Now THAT is a battleship, and LEGO Minifig scale to boot, too! Personally, I would have like to have seen a perfect hull bottom, you know, like it was in dry dock and for you to have used some gray 2x2 cylindrical bricks for the giant turret cannons, but that is just me and it would have been even more work for you to do with this MOC. Still, it is a very impressive work for you nonetheless, Jumpei. I also noted that you had some other creations that were in the background, too. When will you get around to posting them on here, too? Also, why not have some interior shots of your vessel? Also, how many people were on the crew of the Yamato anyway? If you plan on making this truly minifig scale, then you will also need to prepare to find lots of minifigs. I also could see some serious potential for you in making space things in LEGO. Seriously, with the kind of skills that you have shown in building a 1/40 scale version of the largest battleship that was ever made, imagine what you could do with a capital space craft, let alone various other space vehicles! Anyway, I saw your measurements and since it takes about four studs to equal an inch, the vessel is about 144 studs wide and 1,632 studs long. To the person that said that this vehicle needed to be in the Guiness Book of World Records, it certainly deserves to be in there as the longest LEGO creation. Also, that is a nice LEGO minifig mask that you are wearing here. Was it of your own creation? By the way, I also received a LEGO Creator set from Japan once myself. Also, you have some serious skills as a LEGO builder. Seriously, you set the example as to what a true LEGO fan is all about in life, Jumpei. In fact, you are so skilled that LEGO should make a LEGOLAND in Japan and that they should also hire you as its first LEGO Master Builder from that part of the world. |
