Episode 3 of my Mysterion Comic story. Today we're exploring some characters of the UMR Center in Iwowa and forgotten secrets of our past...
About this creation
As usual, Olivia Johnson, chief of the U.M.R.C. headquarter in Iowa, is very busy. Expenses, teachings, briefings and now a call with her husband. It’s a hard day, but she doesn’t know yet, how much... Olivia Johnson: “I know, honey. As i’ve said thousand times, i can’t come to that dinner. The scientists have found out important things about Mysterion weapons and i have to call the Archeogenis institute of MAOX... No, sorry... i mean, it’s more important than your lonelyness... Then do, what you want to!! Ergh.”
Mortimer M. Bishop: “Ah, here you are, anything wrong? You look bad.” Olivia Johnson sighs: “It’s my husband. Mark can’t understand that i have to work instead of beeing his dreamgirl and making kids... After the Mysterion fleet attacked the Beko and destroyed another ship, we better hurry up before bad things happen. But Mark is just an egoist. I whish, he would...”
Mortimer Bishop: “Don’t worry, Olivia. At end, everything will come as it should come. The nature has a feeling for balance, so all will be fine. Trust me.” Olivia Johnson: “Oh, Morty. Thank you. You always know how to calm someone down. That’s why everyone in the center likes to be your friend. But you've called me for something?”
Professor Bishop accompanies her into the U.M.R.C. main database center. Here all available material like encounter reports, studies, missions or briefings are archived. As resources not only own material is used, also old files of FBI, Air Force and dozens of governmental and private agencies about alien or technology stuff can be found here. All in all, the U.M.R.C. database holds about 400.000 Terrabites of information regulary and about the half as backups or other data storage medias.
Mortimer Bishop: “As you may know, the government of earth alliance allowed us recently to open tons of old secret materials after they closed the Fort Nox data security center. The whole data department is busy to sort things of interest. For my social studies, encounter reports of any alien sort are interesting. I quickly found out, that the FBI X-Files of the 20th and 21st century are the best sources.
"At first view, only one encounter with object 5 was affirmed, but no new information. Aside, most of the other stuff is boring, but then i saw this...”
Bishop takes a disc and opens a file on the computer terminal.
Mortimer Bishop: “On first sight, this report seems to be nothing special. Like one of hundreds of paranoid UFO conspiracies. Typically for that time. In July, 7th, 1947 an alien spacecraft crashed near Roswell, New Mexiko. The military transported it to Wright Field in Dayton, Ohio, later it was stored in area 51, Nevada. The best scientists analysed the object, but they weren’t able to understand much of the futuristic technology. To the public, it was told, that a baloon of the secret MOGUL-project was destroyed and some broken garbage material were put into the desert to hide the alien story.”
Olivia Johnson: “I know. When area 51 was closed many years later, that alleged U.F.O-ship was curiously missing. Noone knows how it disappeared or if it had ever really been there. But, i thought, we still know the alien race today, which visited the earth in that era?”
Mortimer Bishop: “Yes, i thought so, too before reading these files. But this U.S.Air Force report mentions a detail, that the U.F.O.liens never build in one of their ships. A striped and weird coloured cube, centered in the ship’s walls. This picture proves it. It was a Mysterion. Additionally, i’ve found it in the database, because we already met it years ago…”
Olivia Johnson: “Oh my god, that’s it. Object 3 didn’t killed Jim. It must be hided for all the centuries somewhere in the USA after escaping area 51 and then, later a tree killed him. My memories were wrong all the years. It was an accident, not murdering. Oh, Jimmy...;(” Mortimer Bishop hugs her: “It’s all ok now. Olivia, it’s ok...”
Olivia is whining.
The datacenter of the U.M.R.C. holds all encounter reports and information of known objects. Every file has a history, memories and its own secrets. Today, one long existing question is solved, but there are plenty more...
