Custom Bolt Action Rifle (Working)
here is my custom bolt action rifle. i you didnt notice already it was loosely based off of the AA12 because after i built the body i realized that it looked like that gun. make sure that if you use my mec in one of your guns, that you give credit to me for it. thanks
About this creation

right side of the gun

left side of the gun

close up of the front. you can see the front sights

close up of the mid section. here you can see the bolt handle

here is a close up of the handle and hand guard

close up of the stock

looking at the front sights. you might be able to see the plate with a hole in it

breech closed with the handle forward

(handle forward)

breech open with the handle pulled back

(handle pulled back)

the gun disassembled. as you can see the stock is removable and it is very easy to take out the bolt

where the bolt goes

here you can see where you load in the bullet (it fires 2x4's)

bullet loaded

here is the new bolt. this is my other bolt but modified to handle the very strong airsoft spring

looking in the barrel with the trigger relaxed

trigger pulled

here is a cool shot of the gun

videos!

i do not use a spring in this because if i did the mec would be pushed apart. also the spring is too powerful to be pushed forward without the rest of the gun to make it smoother and easier

Could you make a magazine? Like the real ones, like .270 bolt action, or maybe a semi-automatic, that'd be cool, keep goin, great job!

Quoting Bob Schwippert good gun (i think) but do you need a really powerful spring to build this weapon?
You don't need a really powerful spring for this to work. Looking back, I exaggerated a bit saying "really powerful" considering the spring came from a >100 fps, cheap, airsoft pistol. Although you do need a spring with decent strength. When I was trying to figure out the spring to use, most of the others just didn't put out enough force. For example: the bricks were just getting stuck in the barrel or coming out of it at an incredibly slow speed; more or less just falling out.

Quoting Jim henk hello i rebuild your gun (sortof) but when i open the breach and put the bullet in and close it.. pull the trigger and the brick doesnt come out because the walls are to close to the brick i think.. how can i solve this problem? pls respond btw great gun i will rate 5/5 if mine works perfectly
yeah, the walls of the gun are probably too tight. all you have to do is push or pull the walls apart. also some 2x4 bricks are slightly bigger than others so look through your collection and try out most of the 2x4's. you will (or at least i did) find some shoot better than others.

Quoting Jurrien Meyrahn I already use two airsoft springs at the exact size of yours, and I tried to make the barrel as short as I can, and i mostley use 1x4 bricks instead of 2x4. thanks for the info tough.
sorry i couldnt help you more, i dont know what to do other that what i suggested. other than that your welcome

Quoting Jurrien Meyrahn I build it, but it's not really strong. I used 2 airsoft springs, but it only shoots 3 metres before it hits the ground. Can you please give me some tips how to make it stronger?
the spring i used is 2.25" but i have no idea what the fps of the gun that it came from was. as to making it go further you could try to use a more powerful spring, make sure that the brick firing out of it isnt too tight in the barrel and thats about all i can think of. your best bet would be to change out the spring for a more powerful one

Quoting Jonathan Overes Ehm I don't want to push you, And I really appreciate it that you even would consider to show us the mechanism but, will you have some time in this weekend to make a video about the mechanism? I really appreciate it!:D Kind regards, Jhonny
i will post pics of the mechanism but i will not make a video (1) i dont really feel like it. (2) the mec wont work without the side on because the spring is so powerfull it would just push the remake apart

Quoting Jurrien Meyrahn I hoped you'd upload your mech this weekend, but you didn't. No problem, but I looked every hour at this page if you already uploaded the mech. I hope you upload them soon! I'cant wait. I will try to make the Desert Eagle you made in the meantime.
yeah im srry i didnt make it (the gun has been taken apart so i have to rebuild the mech) but i had homework. also i havent had inspiration for building lately so i havent touched my legos for a week or 2. and on top of that i am working on filming/editing a review for youtube.

Quoting Jurrien Meyrahn That looks impressive. I have seen many lego gun mechanisms here on the moc pages, but you have the best mechanism. Can you please explain or make a cut-section of the gun, I can't figure out how it works. i saw your bolt but that was not enough for me. Already thanks, 5*.
first off, i really appreciate that you think it is the best mec on mocpages. and about the mec, i will make a cut section a soon as possible.
