My 1st microscale ship, built for Round 1 of the 2009 MOColympics. A ship tough enough to scare 2 opponents away! (just kidding)
About this creation
Both my opponent Brady G. and the reserve Tyler "Drake" Evans dropped out.
From years of intense research on the Ancient transport ships found 21 years ago in a remote asteroid, the proudest ArcheoGenis accomplishent: the mobile base Galamoth.

Built in secrecy into a remote satellte, turning a small sea into a Cloning Pit, the Galamoth is a 2400 meters long Bio-Mechanical Carrier, Administration Center, Mining Facility and Production Site.

The Galamoth is also the new ArcheoGenis' official Command Center, housing a large amount of ArcheoGenis military and civilian personnel, as well as their families.

Galamoth's Main Hangar is protected by a Bionite-coated Body-Cell dome.

At maximum capacity it can host 3 battleshps, 2 transport freighters, 1 mining ship and 8 Scourge class Gunships or heavy fighters.

Another view of the hangar. You will see later how it can manage to store them so damn tight.

The whole convoy deployed (I misplaced all 4 of my trans-clear supports, so I had to improvise)

Left to right: the Knightwish, the Hilltop (bioship), the Hard On Duty (mining freighter) and the Stryfe (Bio-Battleship carrying a devastating MALE array)

Side view. The Galamoth packs 2 double Stream Cannons, 14 lazer turrets, 12 artillery turrets, 1 double turbolaser, 1 disruptor turret.

Aside from the main Stream Cannons and the aft Disruptor turret, the Galamoth features a thighter defense grid against smaller vessels.

Also, a Turbolaser is mounted to repel attacks to the underside. Also, for such a slow vessel, the Galamoth can spin very swiftly on its axis.

A closer look to the city complex. This travelling colony provides all commodities to thousands of officers, employees and their families.

Virtuamats, disco, old-fashioned theathers and movie theaters, a stadium...

..and a nearly 40 meters tall monument to... well, ME actuallly, the Great Y.

Since the aft section is not actually part of the ship, but a device attached to it, an airtight Metro leads to an artificial lake...

... where guests can even enjoy a small sailing trip with their families :)

The city landing site is reserved for the ArcheoGenis Official Cruiser.

This small cruiser grants all commodities to high-ranking AG representatives during their business trips.

Perhaps the upmost advancement in ArcheoGenis technological development: The Perception Drive. This device occupies about 1/3 of the ship's length.

This ship has no warp or hyperspace drive: the Perception Drive is based on quantum physics. Exploiting the principle that the state of the universe is determined upon observation, as soon as EVERY passenger on board percieves to be at the selected destination, the ship is there.

The complement of 40 Psychics on board (3 8-hrs turns of 10 plus reserves) synchronize the brain patterns of all passengers through the immense psi-array. This way the Galamoth can be displaced in 0 time in any point of space previously visited by any crew member.

The Perception Drive performs other 2 functions: 1-Gravity. This is easy because all passengers already share a preconception about what's "up" and what's "down" 2- Defense. As long as ALL passengers think the ship is undamaged, no damage is taken. Of course, after a few shots give it a good shake, the Psychics can't enforce this viewpoint anymore, and the ship needs to rely on more traditional defenses, like the defensive psi-field, energy shields, and regenerating bio-armor.

BONUS: The skirmish of Gamah 776
The newborn Galamoth, leaving the Gamah system, is hindered by a small C.O.P. strike convoy, hoping to hit the new ship during her maiden's voyage, before it's fully operational.

A havy battlecruiser, a Tank Ship, and a Scout Striker engage the Galamoth, still under manned and with no escort.

Some of the Galamoth's weapons, however, are fully operational.

The 1st strike takes the COPs by surprise, disabling the Tank Ship. The incredible sturdiness of the vehicle prevents critical damage, saving the lives of the crew.

As a reaction, the Blood Dawn's Plasma Cannon fires a direct hit. The Galamoth blocks it with a well placed Psi-Field.

The Galamoth reaches for a small asteroid (shamelessly portraited by a Rock Monster)...

... and hurls it towards the Scout Striker with lethal accuracy! Wait.. what new form of doom awaits the Blood Dawwn?

What? Freaking NUNCHUCKS?! You can't be serious...

WA-TTAAAH! Oh, cXXp, he is.

Not much chance for the Blood Dawn now, wich gets hit during a desperate evasive maneuvre.

One hit was enough.

Although it is not technically a warship, the Galamoth proves a force to be reckoned with.

Top view.

The missing Side View. Special thanks to my bro, who saved me the trouble to put the background back up :)

I hope you liked this, I really went all in with this one. I had to create 2 or 3 whole new techniques, too (the dome joint, the twisting front arms, and the technic angled hull for the Perception Drive).
It costed me 7 hrs clean of building, 3 fights with my parents and 1 with my girlfriend, but it was worth it :)
Inspiration came a bit from the Supergalaxy Gurren-Lagann and much from Toa Onua's box top, wich I wanted to try to use in a MOC for some time now :)
The name comes from a boss in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
ADDENDUM
Quoting John the Imaginative
"how well does this massive piece of awesomeness steer?"
Not very well. It spins on its axis quite fast thanks to its side thrusters, but it's not a warship, after all. It's an administration-production base... And all its weapons are mobile.
Quoting Infinity Life
"How did you get the Container top/Mask to stay?"
this is how you link the Mistika's box top to system bricks.

The hardest part is getting rid of the EXTREMELY TOUGH glue on the sides of the box.

Quoting Christian Schlichting
"The only possible critic could be the allmightyness of your science-fiction, i mean archeogenis technology can do nearly everything without any limitations, that's cool, but makes it a bit unbelievable and hard to compare to other sci-fi stuff on Mocpages."
-I created a whole series to make my sci-fi concepts believable, that's why I always put in links to previous MOCs: if you check them out you'll see that it all suddendly makes sense :) Check out from where I started: the Prototype.
And to those curious enough to check out ArcheoGenis history, here are the FOLDER and the official Chronology
I hope you took the time to go through this VERY LONG page. If you didn't, I guarantee it's worth it, I threw in some very cool sci-fi concepts :)
The wonderful background comes from www.digitalblasphemy.com
NOTE #1: This class of ships has been resized to accomodate plot needs in Christian Schlichting

Thanks much, so the Orlox will have a short but important appearance in my 3rd season (after summer), that will be one of the best episodes ;)
I would say, according to my college's sport field, your mining frighter should be at least one kilometer to be a believable spaceship, so the Galamoth is 10-15 kilometres long, then the city would fit very well.
Hmm... let's make it half that size (7 km) and you got a deal :) |

I would need a troop carrier or something. I could make the battle with other ships and one single Galamoth class of your choice comes last to support, maybe the Granfaloon. Would you like that idea? This comes far later in the series so you have time to think about.
BTW, if your Y.statue is just 40 meter high, your lake is very small compared to it. Honestly, the whole ship looks bigger than 1kilometer.
You can have the GCS03 "Orlox". BTW, I think you're right, considering the city layout on top. How big do you think it is? |

Too bad. I would have such an awesome idea for my third season including at least 3-4 Galamoth ships in battle (1 as hero, the others as cannon feed) but maybe i just invent other battle cruisers. Can there be at least bigger AG ships with perception drive, too? The drive system would be the important thing for my plan of bringing infantry to a destination. I can use thinships as escorts too but they wouldn't work for the strategy.
The smallest PD is about 300 mt long and it's merely enough for a 700 my ship (1 km total). The Psi-Drive is smaller, check my LongShip :) |

By the Way: How many of the Galamoth-class (The Battle version) exist? Can they be hired like many other Maox fleets?
7 + the Galamoth, all named after various Castlevania SotN bosses. They can't be hired, but they grant assistance to allies (not the Galamoth, though). The LongShips can be hired, though. |

Ah, I definitly would post it- if I hadnt stepped on it. What was it? Well, it used up a whole standard 25cm x 25cm baseplate, was a half a foot tall, and almost all light bley. It was a large microscale stadium, the seats went the whole way 'round, a 6 stud by various others plates, at an angle, covered with random colored 1x1 tiles- made up the seating, the center was tan, for sand, and floating above (suspended with trans-clear) was a rather nice Mysterion object #8472, "a firin' itz lazer" at a sandstone golem, which was midway through emerging from the ground. An ADD (auto defence drone) was also deployed, defending what was below to be Phipson bullriding Mr. "Mondaynoodle". Not sure it you caught all that, but it was FAR better than anything I'd made so far. :(
Sounds amazing. I hope you'll find it in you to repair it sooner of later :) |

I like the way that AG tech can do nearly anything, it prevents people from carrying on about how their ship could beat yours any day of the week and blah blah blah. Besides, I'm sure that there are more than enough powerful Mysterions out there to pose a threat to AG. |

I never said, that it doesn't make sense but well, it's my problem, i'm more a trekkie, we are in earth-down science-fiction. But keep on what you are doing. It's still genious. And, the U.M.R.C./Archeogenis crossover will be somekind of parody i think. it's already written and i like it.
I can't wait :) (besides: teleport? Whooosh! and you were worried about AG tech...) |

Wow, this is amazing! Theres just one thing, you should know with your vast intelligence that in space there is no oxygen which means, no fire (like on those ships u blew up) But i'm sure you'll find a way to dismiss my theory... Other than that, bravo!
Well, I guess there's enough insude the ship... that's why I used so little of it. Or you can think it's plasma, if you like ;) |

The only possible critic could be the allmightyness of your science-fiction, i mean archeogenis technology can do nearly everything without any limitations, that's cool, but makes it a bit unbelievable and hard to compare to other sci-fi stuff on Mocpages. Aside, the build and ideas are mind-blowing as usual from you.
lol, I created a whole series to make my sci-fi concepts believable, that's why I always put in links to previous creations: if you check them out you'll see that it all suddendly makes sense :)

The Fury of Yuri is unleashed! Good Lord, this is beyond great; it defies comprehension! I love how you fuse Bionicle and System, and the result is better than either can achieve alone. I can't get over the creativity of your concepts, and hereby vote ArcheoGenis the best theme on MOCpages. |

wow! I love the detail in this moc! the city top, the arms, the capsule mask cover, and especially the engines. great job!
Ehm... those you see on the aft section are not the engines. This ships has only maneuvering thrusters. For longer distances, it relies on the Perception Drive (wich is what you see there). |
