I'm in a similar situation, no clear direction. Some say to make up my own thing, like Garry King's Rubycon and Viper, with a whole new storyline. But I don't think I have enough parts to do something entirely on my own. Ever think about building a CIC for the Galactica to go along with your hangar deck?
Now, THAT"S a sandworm! I tremendously enjoyed the Dune series for the complexity of the plots and the society. I've not yet seen the movie except for some trailers and occasional clips. But this Moc is right on target.
WOW i really love that organic forms are hard to do with legos but you make it out perfectly- funny thing is that i mentioned "Dune" when we talk with Steef de Prouw about inspiration for Star Wars- Tatooine is definitely inspired by Dune but even more similar is Blenjeel planet seen in the jedi academy-game there are even that similar worm -which surprisingly attacks below and eats you- it is scariest level in that game totally- but anyway i love that presentation of yours very well done!
OMG i thot that was a real worm. i once found a giant 5 foot long orange beach worm in belize-so i cut off its head with an oar. the head was still alive 2 days later, and the rest of it burrowed back in,so i threw the head in the water ,and sum fish ate it.i like the teeth
I hated sandworms ever sicne they kept swallowing my harvesters in "Dune II" circa. 1991. Anyway, amazing design, it reminds me of that whale someone did here a few months back. The scenery is a nice touch as well. Keep this up and you'll be one of the most popular buidlers on this site.
Holy heck, that thing is utterly disgusting! And by that I mean an incredible build. Man you know what would look cool infront of that is an unwitting mini-fig playing around with a thumper.
Top stuff as usual, and from way out of left field.
I know people are expecting a "Is that a huge worm in your pocket" joke from me right about now... It's good to leave 'em wanting don't you agree? Great worm you got there! (we'll let them fill in their own jokes from now on) I like how you made it to scale with the ship. Great job! ~ Chris.
Great work! It looks so smooth and huggable. Although you probably wouldn't want to try hugging one those things. I'd suggest submerging it if at all possible though. Unless you were trying to build it so we could see the Sandworm. Other than that, it's fantastic.
"I watched the movie" "I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm going to" "That's cool, it looks just like the one from the movie" Well lah-dee-dah. Guess what? I READ THE BOOK! (and it was a wonderful piece of science-fiction literature I must say) so here's from one book-reader to another. Fantastic job. It looks about how I pictured it (except I always imagined the mouth as a circular opening, but that's just me) Even if you'd just built it with no reference in mind it would be an incredible build. Love this build. Pieces ~ Nowhereman
