This was a secret project i've been working on for the last two days. I've always wanted to build an LAAT but i wanted to do something unique because we all know how many LAATs are on mocpages. So i decided to build a heavier version of the LAAT that was also a bomber. That is when the Republic MAAB or Multi-Altitude Assault Bomber was born! As i just said the MAAB is a heavier, bomb carrying version of the LAAT. The ship is 18" long, 7" tall and has a 2' wing span. It carries an entire bay full of thermal and EMP bombs in its belly. It has much larger wings than the LAAT to improve its stability and make bomb drops much more accurate. It also has three engines that keep the ship stable as well. Some of the features of the MAAB are identical to the LAAT, like the missile launchers, the large sliding side doors, and the wing mounted turrets. Three clones are needed to fly this bomber. One for piloting the craft, one for operating the guns and missiles and one for the bomb bay. It is also capable of carrying troops in the roomy cabin. It can carry around eight to ten troops. Well, i hope you like it. I think i will be building an alternate version of an AT-TE next so keep checking back. Please don't forget to rate and comment!
About this creation

here is a front view of the bomber.

here is a side view of the bomber.

here is the cockpit.

here is a shot of the cockpit without the windshield. the top clone is the gunner. he operates the wing mounted cannons and missile launchers. The bottom clone is the pilot. he flies the bomber.

here are the missile launchers. These are also present on the lighter LAAT.

side doors. This shot shows them closed.

here are the side doors again but this time, open. as you can see the cabin is quite spacious. it has plenty of room for a rather large platoon of clones.

here is the extremely large wings that keep the bomber stable. the larger wings make it much more stable then the LAAT, which makes dropping the bombs much more accurate.

here is the side of the engines.

here is the engines.

here is an overhead shot of the entire bomber.

This is the bomber's cockpit that is located on the belly of the ship. The clone has complete control over the bomb bay.

here is another shot of the bomber's cockpit without the windshield.

here is the bomb bay with it's doors closed.

here is the bomb bay again with the doors open.

here is the two types of bombs that this bomber is capable of carrying. the red ones are thermal grenades that explode on contact with the ground and the green are EMP bombs that will fry any droids in the drop zone.

And last but not least, here are the heavy plasma cannons.

if you make the colour scheme more uniform and put tiles on it it would look even more amazing

I love the design of this ship, and the bomb bay with the controller is a great idea! I would just clean up the colors a bit, they look a bit scattered.

Comment on every cool MOC you can find! After you butter up the builder, you say: "by the way, can you check out this?" Then post a link to your moc. You'd be surprised how many builders will comment on your stuff if you just comment on their's first:)

Quoting Moodswim . VERY cool and original design! I love the look of the wings, cockpit and around the thrusters. You really need to start advertising your mocs to get more comments!
Thanks! I was wondering how you usually advertise your mocs?
