VDS Advanced Light Reconnaissance Autogyro
With new enemies being found all over the world, VDS introduces a new, low-flying scout. The Advanced Light Reconnaissance Autogyro (ALRA) is a medium-sized vehicle used for anything from scouting the tops of jungles to watching national boundaries. Although autogyros have been declared obsolete in modern terms, they do offer a cheap and effective way to keep on a low profile while completing high-risk scouting missions. The ALRA is armed with a .50 cal. HMG to engage trailing targets and is crewed by two; one being the pilot, and the other, the rear gunner.
About this creation

ALRA scaled with pilot.

Note: This is yet another old MOC I found on my camera, so why not post? Anyhow, it may not be the best in the world, but I kind of like it.

Quoting Fizzy Poppers grammatical errors? Explain...
OCI is Omaha Control Industries; Omaha is a city, historic location, and a people. Adding Control in the midst of the name can cause certain problems in comprehension. It can be received as the Industries are controlling any form of the term Omaha or can can be vice versa. Thus, it is both a grammatical and comprehension error due to the placement of the three words.

Quoting The Annihilator Pretty cool! I lke the design for a old MOC! Great work! Oh why did you change the name from OCI to VDS? Just wondering. Great work!
First off, I'd like to thank you. Now, in response to your question, OCI contained a few grammatical errors and didn't relay the exact notion of warfare; whereas VDS fixed both.

Quoting Fizzy Poppers Love the gun, but the shape of it, well not so much. I really like the idea of a low altitude heli, but it looks more like a boat with propellers. It's not bad at all, but the main thing I suggest is increasing the size of it's rotors. From the knowledge I have, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to fly something that big with rotors that small. Build them out of bricks to make more of them and make 'em longer. It'll be easier that way when your trying to give it a realistic look. I like the shape, it's kinda like a bubble helicopter or something. I don't know, anyway, the rear is nice, and I like the position of the co-pilot. Over-all, good job. It could be better, but it still looks nice. It's good to see you building again, and keep up the good work!
I can perfectly understand where you are coming from. Matter of fact, I basically thought the same thing after looking over this...again. Anyhow, with an autogyro, the rotor blades can be reduced in size because of the forward-facing, or aft depending on design, propeller. I may revise this, but it has long been destroyed.

Quoting Shk Ad Aw Pretty neat design. It definitely seems like outdated technology, though; considering a UAV could complete the same role. And the crew positions are a bit open. Anywho, it still looks cool.
Exactly what I thought, but I've always like the idea of an autogyro.
