KROLL, King of the Cyclops
one really bad-ass villain...
About this creation

Front View of Kroll. Kroll is one of my biggest and heaviest humanoid BIO MOC. It stands at 40 inches or 102 cm( slightly more than a meter)

I designed Kroll with human proportions with exception of the one eye and long claws.

Close up view of Kroll showing his muscular chest, massive jaw with sharp teeth and an "Iron Man energy pack(the one with gold). Aside from that, I made sure, Kroll had a firm looking stomach and nice shoulders and biceps.

This is a comparative shot of Kroll showing Kroll standing way too tall for Pyronius(my son's moc which stands at 10 inches) I am the one standing besides Kroll(I am 5' 10 inches in height)

This is the leg and boot design of Kroll. Kroll's knee can bend 45 degrees. Each leg weighs more than a titan.

Back View of Kroll. I designed Kroll's back in contrast with Kroll's muscular front. I wanted that sophisticated mechanical machine look at Kroll's back

History of Kroll
King Kroll rules the fabled Land of the giant Cyclops. Using his unbelievable strength and height, Kroll defeated many Cyclops to claim the vacated throne of the former King of the Cyclops, Polyphemus, who was blinded by a toa with no name.

As the Cyclops new King, Kroll has ruled like a tyrant, disposing and destroying his numerous enemies. Everytime Kroll kills his opponent, Kroll's strength and size grew as well. Now blinded by immense power, King Kroll recruits GENERAL BAROOKto lead his army of giants in their quest to invade the other lands in the bionicle universe.

As King Kroll captures civilization after civilization, his tyranny spreads across the land. Villages are burned down, thousands of toas flee from King Kroll's vicious army.

General Barook after seeing the evil nature of his master, decides to switch sides and plan overthrowing King Kroll to restore peace before it is too late. However, General Barook's plan is revealed to King Kroll by the other generals loyal to King Kroll. Furious, King Kroll orders the arrest of General Barook. General Barook is tortured in front of King Kroll until the general ultimately dies.

Eventually, General Barook's body is thrown to the seas where he is picked up and his life restored by XANADU, the hero from the future who's mission is to stop King Kroll before he destroys the world.

Creator's Comment:

Kroll is my latest masterpieces and breaks the following personal records I have set.
1. Kroll is my TALLEST MOC at 1.02 meters or 40 inches
2. Kroll is my heaviest MOC at 4.9 pounds
3. Kroll is the moc which I used the most number of parts
4. Kroll is my longest built time for a moc

I designed Kroll with a muscular humanoid proportioned built(seldom seen in most bio mocs)

Kroll has many articulation functions(eyelid, neck, jaw, arm, shoulder, fingers, knees)

Anyway, I WOULD APPRECIATE YOU LEAVE YOUR COMMENT and RATE THIS PAGE BEFORE YOU EXIT. thanks.

Thankies ^^ I got most of it finished, but i like to put more parts on when i find some fitting soooo, the corrupted scarab lord/farao (Or Makuta, whatever ><) might change much, it has 3 forms now, and different from other people's creations..It actualy realy transforms...Not 3 seperated figures, it realy transforms...Story Teaser, the story will start like: "The old world of the scarab destroyed, scarred by...Zor'Thak, the scarab makuta, the folowers of the golden shield struggle to survive, traveling through different universes and worlds/planets(/Whatevers).." Nowadays, its not the alchemyst im most proud on, btw...Its the makuta, Zor'Thak ^^.

Quoting The Abyss ~ My heart way heavy with the souls of the unforgotten could you give me some tips on making giant limbs?
1. First determine the kind of creation. Would it be a Humanoid, a rahi, or an alien form 2. For humanoid, follow the humanoid proportion as much as possible. After starting with the head and the body, you would already more or less know what should be the size and length of your limbs. Use a long ruler as a guide.

Quoting The Abyss ~ My heart way heavy with the souls of the unforgotten could you give me some tips on making giant limbs?
4. Determine and plan beforehand how articulated the limbs should be. Would I design something with very good, moderate, or fair articulation in mind. I believe there is no such thing in excellent articulation in building very big limbs. 5. Building very good articulated limb is very challenging as this would involve some engeneering design. For arms, as much as possible, I would try to build it as light as possible but still impressive. Arms that are too heavy are very difficult to support because of gravity. Heavy arm design will usually result in poor articulation. 6. For legs, what is most important is that it should be able to support the upper body(everything above waist). Support may mean lowering your center of gravity by purposely "force bending on the knee". You may also build a "massive feet design"(use by many) to support imbalance weight on the body structure. 7. Remember in building creations more than 30" pose a number of challenge. But the challenge is what is exciting. For me size alone does not necessarily would win great ratings. Size plus originality and great build technique and fair amount of articulation is a sure winner.

Quoting Nathan Nieburg So when you build these, do you just know how you want it to turn out, or do you do extensive planning beforehand?
I don't necessarily do extensive planning. However, I do some planning beforehand in building these creation. For Kroll, I needed to measure the size and length of each body parts before I connect them all. For the muscular look, I needed to gather coordinated parts that I believe would make the muscles. I also plan beforehand how articulate I want a creation would be. Most importantly, I plan also how the page would look and the story before I build it.

Quoting Harvey Cu Yuri, I need your expert opinion with regards to entry of Ben at mocolympics. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/153143 1. I don't seem to see any limegreen on his moc, does that count as well? 2. I don't see any silver feet? Can his arms be considered his "feet"? 3. After reading his story, I don't see people having nightmares as "evil"? Or did I read it incorrectly or is his story allowed to pass as a fury? Before I make judgement, I would like your expert opinion on his entry first.
All you need is here. http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=3898&topicid=13762 The feet need only to be silver because if not the fury wouls not be able to walk. That flies, so they're not an issue. The furies are Black, with Silver and a bit of Lime/Neon Green. The basic idea is that while the Fury is fully visible, only the Silver is tangible, and you can cause damage only to the Neon Green (usually eyes/heart/core). I already judged.

I don't mind at all. I am happy to encourage others make the best of their bionicle parts that they have. With regards to how many sets or parts that I used to create Kroll, I really have no idea. I just weighed Kroll after I finished him. He weighed in at 4.9 lbs. So most probably he has around a thousand parts or so.

I have no simblance of an Idea where to start. First off, this is the most awesome bio moc I have seen on this site. Period. Secondly, this thing is un-freakin-believable and I would be honored if you would comment on some of my mocs. I have one in particular called chaos harbinger that you might like. He is a massive (though not nearly as big as your Kroll) Alien Cyborg that you just might like. My third and last point is that I Can't help but say that Kroll would kick the tar out of everything I have made so far. Awesome job, Please make more, and keep up the good work!!!

If Yuri and Harvey were to have a Bionicle contest where size determined the winner, MOCpages would explode from over-magnificence. I'm extremely impressed by both the size and detail - two things that usually don't come together - of this creation. Beware of the Toa with No Name!

Quoting Yuri Fassio You know... I think y mixing your shoulder technikque with Trasponder's http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=114366&id=/user_images/23262/12405946911 I could actually build a joint strong enough to pose Grond V3's arm. Without needing to buy the COSTLY technic turntables...
Of course that would depend on how heavy the arm will be. Now, here's my dilemma after building the green dragon Savarath and now Kroll, I have almost run out ideas on what to do for next month? At the back of my mind, I am still thinking how to make a 5 headed multicolored gigantic dragon Tiamat or I might probably make a V2 of Kroll, probably increasing his present height by another 12 inches if possible. hmmm....

Quoting Skorp TS Oh my god, this is INCREDIBLE. I absolutely love the head design! Although it's taller than Grond and I think it's head looks better, I still like Grond more than this guy. I hope you don't mind. The main picture is incredibly epic, by the way.
Thanks for the compliment. I really don't mind it at all. Grond , I think, is just as equally epic. Knowing the creativity and competitive nature of Yuri, I think he is planning something even better than Grond. Meanwhile, I'm anticipating this and i'm trying to think of something to even surpass Kroll. hehe.

Do you have an insane amount of bionicle parts or are you taking apart every one you make to make a new one?I couldn't really tell how big it actually is without a meter stick next to me until I looked at what his teeth are made of. Those teeth are used for hands, feet, or paws for my average sized creations.WOW!

"Close up view of Grond showing his muscular chest, massive jaw with sharp teeth and an "Iron Man energy pack(the one with gold). Aside from that, I made sure, Kroll had a firm looking stomach and nice shoulders and biceps." You called it Grond... >.< Aside from that, this reminds me very much of Grond's big angry mom :P Congratulations on this momentous acheivement! Here's the key to the city!

Thank you very much. You are too kind. I would like to thank you for being an inspiration in making my Kroll. Your Grond has set the high standards and example in building quality giant mocs. I honestly believe if you put your mind to it, you can make your 1 meter or over future Grond V3.

Quoting Yuri Fassio I stand in awe. This is a marvellous build, worthy of entering the Bionicle Hall of Fame. Now Breannicle really needs to beware the competition! I'd love some more shots of the shoulders and how they pose. That would make my day :)
Presently Kroll's shoulder is limited to a movement of maximum 60 degrees due to my decision to use connectors instead of pistons. At first my plan was to use pistons on the shoulder as well. As I went thru with the build, I used up all of the long pins except one. Now, as a believer of symmetry and the fact that I rather not wait to get another long pin somewhere before I post it, I just went for 3 connectors instead of pistons. All in all, I used up around 99 percent of my pins because I had to aim for size and detail instead of mobility which was my third priority. Nevertheless, while it can never beat Grond in mobility, it can nevertheless still be posed to certain degree. Making a bionicle of this size truly pose many engeneering problems as many of the pins and connectors are not really designed to handle such weights. While 4.9 pounds may not seem heavy, some people don't realize how many parts it takes to reach 4.9 pounds.

Quoting jason corlett .....HOLY LEGO! That is truly a masterpiece! I just can't believe how detailed it is. If I tried building something that big it would have hole everywhere! Absolutely amazing work!
Would you believe Kroll's hidden skeleton on his upper body is white to really simulate a human skeleton. I just covered with parts that looked liked muscles.
