UPDATED: Jan 12 2010: A Exo Force inspired mecha. It comes equipped with 4 rocket launchers, 2 on each shoulder and, thanks to the nueral trace system, can handle any weapon that is designed for hands.
About this creation
Be sure to check out Little Blue in its complete form. You can find it here!
AEGAKS-101-LBu Little Blue
As with all my MOCs, I randomly and periodically update them and fiddle, making improvements as I update my collection with new pieces and as the ideas strike me. Little Blue was no exception, and has recieved a full upgrade.
One of the new upgrades is a new concept shield for use on the left forearm. The forearm shield consists of a smallish dish ballistics shield, with a projector mounted in the center to produce a large energy shield on top of it. The result is extremely durable armor at less weight and less reduced agility.
Oddly enough, for a mecha, Little Blue is decently aerodynamic. This is because the torso cockpit innovation that made this one unique was actually adapted from a helicopter attempt "that failed to get off the ground", literally. A bad pun, yes I know.
The other part of the update was inspired by Code Geass' Knightmare frame. It consists of flip up wheels mounted to the back of the feet. When locked in the down position, and used in conjunction with the vernier thrusters, Little Blue can achieve extreme speeds on flat surfaces, which make it a good racer.
The back of Little Blue, showing the vernier thrusters, which act as both jump jets and foreward thrusters for speed dashes.
Little Blue using the Assault Rifle, with removable clip, which the other arm can replace, and shoulder momunted rockets firing. Each tube holds a single rocket, and the shoulders each hold two reserve rounds for each launcher, giving it a total of 12 rockets.
Little Blue using the autopistol, with a nine round pistol grip style magazine.
Little Blue equipped with the back mounted Cannon.
The Frame of Little Blue, seen here with all its armor and components stripped. As you can see, the armor can easily be replaced with a new style and color, making this design highly customizable, yet profoundly sturdy.
The back of the frame with all components removed. The "slouched" position of the cockpit is created by the legs and arms being mounted to the back of the cockpit and make for a surprisingly well balanced stature.
The legs and arms can eject from the torso to form an ejection pod for easy recovery of the pilot. This is especially useful if Little Blue were to be equipped for space use.
UPDATE: If you look closely you can see how this could've been the cockpit to a helicopter. That was what it originally was.

Nice mech! I like the 'skeleton' and the cockpit. So you're the guy that I'm breaking my controller for on MW?? (Xbox or ps3?) Keep up the great work!
Yeah(xbox), I didn't mean to embarass you so badly, but a headshot's a headshot, even if you were behind a wall. To be honest, this one's a little outdated, as I've updated my design to include functioning elbows and knees. But I do appreciate the feedback. |

Very nice! I really like the design of this guy. The back canon looks like it could put some serious hurt on anything unfortunate enough to be caught in its cross-hairs. The shield system is probably my favorite aspect of the whole mech - beautiful in its simplicity. This mech makes me want to try my hand at building another one. Thanks for reviewing my Claymore! The highlights are actually red, but orange would indeed look very nice (now if only I had enough!).
Great work, keep building!
Peace ~ Packie
Too bad I decommissioned the cannon. Though my I may it again soon. Keep posted as I have big plans for the L frame. |

could I borrow this design? It's very innovative and i'll change it a lot.
(I'll give you credit of course)
This mech is the best little compact machine ever!

I'd like to thank everyone for the feedback on this model. When I first started this project it was just table scraps, but it really pulled together. I would really like to generate a faction around this model, so any ideas would be welcome. |

Very nice little mecha. I like the simplicity of the frame (and I'm glad you posted a pic of it, saved to my ideas folder) but at the same time it would bug me that the knees and elbows aren't articulated. You can't have everything, though, and I'd still sooner buy this than an actual exo force set.
I have got to say that I agree with you. I tried to figure out how to get the knees and elbows to function, but I couldn't get it to work right. |
