The new and improved SE107 STAG Mech. Ejecting Rail gun power cartridges, Dual Mini-Guns, and More!
About this creation
The new SE "STAG" Mech is currently the most powerful land vehicle in the US's arsenal. Dwarfing all of the Russian's known land forces, the STAG can handle front line duty, as well as Special Forces support, due to the Drop-Pods that allow it to be dropped into just about anywhere.
The need for two separate rail guns came about after StormElite Team 107 infiltrated the Russian base where they found that the Russian's were constructing a Battle Cruiser. The SE107 STAG Piloted by "Hammer" and 5 other StormElite Mechs, all STAG class, were assigned to destroy the base if anything was found.
Their Rail-Guns were loaded with Nuclear Slugs, the problem being that if the Mech's needed the Rail-Guns before they Nuked the base they were screwed, because they only had one rail gun and with that loaded with Nukes, they couldn't fire at any thing except the base.
Luckily that mission they didn't need the rail guns, but after that the STAGA was created, the "A" standing for Advanced. the STAGA mounted two Rail-guns, and had two crew members instead of just one to reduce strain on the Pilot.

Now, Lets get right on to the pictures shall we?
Here's a 3/4 view.

This is where the lower leg meets the upper leg.
Right-Side Drop-pods, these are pretty much Single-burn rockets, the STAGA can be dropped from a Drop-ship and theses slow it down enough so that it doesn't become a Pancake when it touches down. These were first used in the Base assault.
Left Drop-Pods.

The Rear of the Mech, I'm really sorry about the glare in this one. You can see the Comm Array Antennas in this one.
Right shoulder area, this is the rear of the four (4) Right Long-Range-Missile Launchers. (LRM's)
Right-Side Mini-Gun, you can see the front of the LRM's and the 80MM Auto-Cannon.
Right Side LRM's and 80MM Auto-Cannon.
Yes, that is an Exo-Force joint. the Joint between the Upper and Lower legs are the same thing, amazing that they can hold the weight eh?

Two-Man cockpit, it's tight, but I had to make it that way to fit Rail-Gun ejection stuff in.
The Dual Rail-Guns.
The Rear flap closed.
OK, this is the back flap lifted up, I'll try to explain this the best I can, I have videos as well.
The way that the STAGA can mount dual rail guns is innovative, instead of having a massive Power core, it uses power cartridges. This allowed the engineers to keep the weight and size down. The Power Cartridges have enough power to power 4 shots, after that they get ejected. To "Eject" the Power Cartridges you push one of the Rail-Guns back, doesn't matter which one, they are both geared.
The Video's show it fairly well.
This one was with the camera Hand-held, so it's not very good.
This one is with the Camera on a stand, much better.
These shows the gearing on the Mech.

From above.
This is where the Auto-Cannon would go, it keeps the Rail-Gun from coming out the front.

This allows the Upper torso to twist around freely.

These just look cool, they really don't do anything. :P
They are the same on the Right Leg as well.
Rear of the Right leg, don't worry, I fixed the fact that one of the springs are hanging out after I took the picture.

Ok, now that you've looked through all of that, I would love a comment\rating!
Just so you know, Dawn Forge was a great inspiration for me, so big Props to Brian!
This was built mostly while listening to Demon Hunter, and a couple other Christian Heavy Metal bands.
And as always, everyone is welcome at PPE?. We are a LEGO Warfare forum and we would LOVE to have you!
Thanks guys, I really love building in the Black and Blue color scheme, and I also love building function into my stuff as well. Hopefully I'll have some more stuff up soon!

Fantastic use of the ammo shell casing ejector. Your mech looks like it walked right off a Battletech landscape. I also love the amount of detail you put in on this one. Not to mention I think you took even your pictures that I did of last mech! I can't wait what you do next.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun trying to get the ejector from a prototype that was around 5 inches long and 2 and a half inches wide into something as small as the back of the Mech.
I'm not entirely sure what I'll do next, guess I'll have to wait and see! :)
Thanks for the Comment!
