In the coldness of deep space, they're thrived...pirates
About this creation

Category: Space Pirates
Opponent: Jonathan Coyle - http://mocpages.com/moc.php/150309
The earliest of interplanetary pirates relied on quick small crew interceptors, but as the earliest space vessels began to form soon rose a new class of pirate which could rely on fear, intimidation, and power.

The pirate ship 21ZNA9 and her captain Lord Byron McCartney III were amongst the earliset of pirates

Her gamma sails collected radiation, which powered it's primitive Tesla turbines to power it's 7 engines.

Her profile demonstrated the hull of work of early Aetheran ship makers, whom preferred an interceptor type hull.

The engine specifications are of unknown origins and they appear to be assembled from various other classes of ships. But it's observable that not only could she operate in space, but was also built for atmospheric conditions.

Her prow's antenna picked up on signals from merchant ships and were key to her successful huntings.
Blah blah blah blah science crap blah blah.

The deck was composed of three sections, The upper captain and navigator's deck, the main deck with the deck guns and energy shield gage, and the lower deck.

Her crew consisted of eevry race from Terran yellow to Insectoids to Squids. Her complete armory included 6 side cannons and 2 plasma deck guns.

Green - "Once there was this great pirate captain who looted over a hundred ships! Whenever they approached a merchant ship the pirate captain would ask his first mate 'Bring me my red shirt!' He did this every time they fought. When asked why, the captain said 'So that when I kill my enemy, and his blood spills on me, no one will be able to tell that I have blood on my shirt.'"

Green - "So one day at space, the pirates find themselves surrounded by over a hundred Royal Armada ships! And as the pirate captain looks at his odds he turns to his first mate and says, 'Bring me my brown pants!'"
Red - "I don't get it..."

This was a very fun category and it put me in the mood to watch Treasure Planet a couple of times. This is also my first any kind of navy-ish ship, and the big brown hull parts came from my little brother's goblin set.

Sadly it's really windy wear I live because of a nearby forest fire, and the wind tossed my white backdrop along with the ship, which means that it was actually flightowrthy if only for a few seconds. I can fix it but for now It's time to relax for a bit :)

And this is an unofficial logo I made a month ago, you can click on it too but it'll just link to my flickr account. There must be at least 40 more people competing this time than there were last time, so good luck to everyone!

Could we be seeing a replay of last year here? There's a reason you were the runner up last year and THIS proves it! Good luck and welcome to round 3! ~ Chris.

Wow! You took the space pirate category and made an eye-catching piece. It has a "steampunk" aspect to it - a homegrown feeling of mismatched parts. Together with the wild colors and lines of the sails, you have a real nice ship here. If you're curious, I took a similar tack on the space pirate theme. Nice job.

Whoa! This is really eye catching. The color accents of red and yellow make it stand out. The sails are obviously innovative but really put the ship over the top. Good show.
