Republic desert turbo tank
A turbo tank used by the Republic in desert.
About this creation

This is probably my best work; it took a lot of looking to find the pieces. I used a lot of Dino Attack and Indiana Jones sets to build it, and Batman sets for the wheels.

Awesome! I almost bought the official clone turbo tank on ebay, but lost the bid :*(. ANYWAYS, I love it! It looks cool and the turret on the side (the one with the red dragon head) is a very good design (not that a care a bit about color :))! Good job on this, and to bad you had to take it apart :(!

Quoting Cody Carrigan wow! that's pretty neat! it's original, for sure. I would've never thought of anything like this. the only desert planet I can think of in star wars is tantooine, and the clones never fought there. only the stormtroopers went to tantooine. so it would suit it b etter if this were a stormtrooper turbo tank, not a clone one. but overall it's great!
Two words: Expanded Universe. :P
Quoting Tom R. Needs a bit of work, It's a bit plain, and I would like to see the interior as well as some greeblies, and weaponry. But other than that great. 3/5
I'll answer your three points in succession: Ah, the interior; I forgot to upload pictures of that. I had a ton of pictures of this on the computer but only uploaded a few when I did. However I'll soon remedy that and upload some additional shots. You say you'd like to see greebles? Where, exactly? On the top, or on the sides? Perhaps the sides could use some minor greebling, as well as the roof. Also... unless I were to simply do them in dark grey I'd be hard pressed to find tan pieces in enough of an abundance to be suitable for greebling. When I built it I guess it just didn't look requiring of greebles. Lastly: weaponry. There are, unless my eyes mistake me and my memory fail me, four different forms of ordnance on the tank. On the roof in two places are two droll turbo-lasers for anti-vehicle defense. There are also two ion cannons on either side of the frontal area, and two anti-personnel platforms on either side. Those platforms were the up and down of this MOC; I liked the idea of using the skull as a base for a laser, but I had but one of them in black which would've suited the purpose far better; furthermore at the time I built this I was dismantling the Well of Souls temple set, and while I did so I found two yellow lightsaber blades which would be perfectly suited for the purpose, at least as far as shape is concerned, to say nothing of color. So, sadly I had to build those cannons entirely colorblinded, something I hate to do and always try to avoid in my MOCs. Hopefully that answered your comment sufficiently! Thanks for the great critique. :) P.S. And here's the killer: I built this last year. Yes, alas, I built it around the time of December in 2008, and it unfortunately did not survive the nine odd months in between, and was forced, for storage purposes, to be broken up into parts, and by the by I have taken pieces here and there from it, and taken some segments entirely apart, so it's hardly in one piece now. I'd very much love to rebuild it, though, because it was very, very swooshable, and very sturdy.

Eh... that was a completely useless comment. No offense intended; that's just my brutally honest opinion.
