"-newer element types and better proportioned renditions have rendered this design as obsolete."
I beg to differ! The multi-faceted F117 is probably the hardest aeroplane to recreate and you have done an extaordinary job. Other than the canopy area, I cannot see where newer pieces would really improve upon your masterpiece. |

Excellent Job. One question-- does the landing gear retract or do you take it off. From the underside view it looks to me that you take it off and those flaps just retract, but I am not sure. Either way, a superb build.

Now that Ralph Savelsburg has one too, I came back a little more critically, but I still think this is an absolutely wonderfull masterpiece. While Ralph's has better shape and detail, I love the studless look to this one. Also, in response to Alex.'s comment about mini-fig compatability, I did a rough stud count, and this is between six and eight studs too long, the real one's sixty feet, so this could pass for the controversial 1 stud = 1 foot ratio, which I use. Excellent job! -- -- Michael |

Wooooooow, crazy! See, when I llook at the pictures I can see how you built most parts. But how on earth did you manage to put them together??? I usually don´t ask for instructions, but here I would love to check them out! And I really like that it´s made to be played with - that a minifig fits in your cockpit!
Anyways, great creation!!!

Gasp! Wheeze! Choke! Fall dead to the ground.
How in tarnation did you manage to stick that together? I tried, But what I ended up with looked as if it was hit with a Paveway bomb. If YOURS was any better, it would be flying over Bagdad with a payload of JDAMs. If MINE was any better, it would look like...well... it had been hit with a Paveway bomb. Could you build an F-35 Lightning II? ;-) -- -- Jack |

A great model which showcases the very best of lego building techniques. But, i don't think you got the shape right. Please provide a side view! I will change the rating if you prove im wrong. PS, it is NOT minifig scale Michael Ford, The man in the cockpit is tiny compared to the model... A great model nonetheless, Alex. |

Its spelled F-117 Night Hawk, note the space. jk with ya. This is the absolute numero uno Jet ever creted out of Lego and it is unchallenged. I know that it has had the crap reviewed out of it, but another 5/5 Never hurts.(BTW: I think it's "Night Hawk" with a space to differentuate from a Curtiss P-84 Nighthawk, but I dunno, I just feel like being technical) |
