The fast and the quick build Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in 1:20
About this creation
This is my Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.
It's more, or less a quick and dirty creation, because I didn't spend that much time for it. The biggest issue on building modern cars are there round and smooth lines. That's tough to build with bricks.
The car I've planned to build in dark blue is a Toyota Celica, but the Skyline is a very cool car. And dark blue is working for this, too.
The sripe at the car's side is made with normal and maersk blue plates.
Dark bluish grey should represent a carbon engine cover and rear spoiler.
To get closer to the original, the front has to be more bended. But if you know the original, it's possible the recognize that it supposed to be a Skyline.
Squared exhaust pipe. Is that cool, or what?
The surface is not studless because of the wedge plates on the engine cover and the missing 1x1 tiles in dark blue. It looks good without the carbon stuff, but in this case it doesn't look like a street racer.
This is a really cool Skyline. This is a very difficult model to re-create in Legos, and you did a great job. it looks pretty cool with the dark grey, and the design on the side, but I like it the best in the plain dark blue color.
I think I would have gone with the stock Nissan wing, but the custom one looks alright. The overall shape of this car is great- very recognizable. Great work! Keep building great mini-land scale cars.
