I've been wanting to do a Phaser for sooo long. This came out so sweet. I wanted to stick with a Next Generation handle, more than a Voyager curved one. But the black grip areas on the NG handle were difficult to replicate. So I just put it underneath. The fire button can actually be pressed. I have spring resistance supporting it inside the handle. It gives it that extra touch. I'd like to have the sides detach to show some inner workings, like a prefire chamber, and some other greebles. Unfortunately, you have to make your own sound effects.
Dude, that is totallay awesome! It looks like the real thing. If Lego signs a contract with Star Trek, I could garantee that phaser would start being sold. AWESOME
