Type #4 Girida-O
TheGirida-O Series was an all-purpose main battle tank designed to have the firepower and armor of a heavy tank and the mobility of a medium tank. Introduced in 2028, it was extensively built & used by the Rebel Army. The Rebel Army is the main producer with more of 3,500 tanks, the Amadeus Syndicat and the Ptolemaic Army are the second producers with arround 2,320 copies. Information The Rebellion required a main battle tank that had a good range of mission profile, with balance between firepower, mobility and survivability. They already knew that the Regular Army was working on such a vehicle, the SV-001, and the Girida-O came out to be its closest counterpart. Its compactness enables it to travel at high speed, while its rifled main gun offers enough firepower to deal with almost any threat. During the design phase, the designers decided to utilize Artificial Intelligence instead of making it manned. The result was that the tank was able to operate even under a very harsh environment where no manned vehicle could ever dare to attempt. The AI has left more to be desired, however, as it is prone to making IFF mistakes and frequently run over friendly soldiers. Modern Wars Rebel Girida-O tanks on Käthehirt Rebel Girida-O saw action for first time during the first modern war in the year of 2028, The Rebels sent also 678 additional tanks from the Kathehirt factory to suport the 3nd blindated divsion on the battle front. The Rebels at the battle frot modifie the Girida-O to serve as Construction Machines nicknamed Dararin Dara Dara. When the Amadeus Syndicat enter to the war the Girida-O was teh second type deployed by the Amadeus Syndicat after the Di-Cokka versions. They are based on American M60 PATTON tank .
