About this creation
[production note:Part 2 of the Trilogy includes the character Kerran originally created by Jake H.]

The Tale of Tadith 2

Tadith, once a normal boy living in the eastern settlement of the Rensval valley, now follower of the Brotherhood of the Blade. He lost his parents by a wrongful land and sweared to punish those, who wronged others.

Tadith, the people only know his symbol, the masked man with the hat, but noone his name,
The man, who kills the murderers, or just teaches a rapscallion some manners...

This is the story, how he became a real brother.
It’s the Tale of Tadith…

Since several weeks, Tadith is bringing justice over the eastern settlement. But his contacts to the Brotherhood is still low. Some quick words to a masked man, or simple letters teaching the sixth tenets and other stuff.
“When they’ll trust me? I prooved myself enough. The people love me as their new hero. When can i get to know Master Arralek, seeing, speaking him the first time?”, he thinks all the day.
Then, he realizes a new letter. It has the same secret sign marking it as order of the Brotherhood…

“For a man, who brings justice upon this land,
We excuse, that the Brotherhood hasn’t found time to give our newest members the treatment they deserve, but times are wild and we’re facing uncertain circumstances. Well, the Brotherhood always stands together, we heard of your skills and victories, so we trust in you, Tadith. You will met our circle soon. But for now, we hope for your help.
Kerran, one of us, was catched by the guards of the eastern settlement without official reason. He’s arrested in the guard’s house. His mission was of high importance and we have to avoid, that they’ll get any information from him. Your order is to break into the prison and free our brother, so he can finish his mission. If necessary, kill the corrupted guards.
Tadith, we trust in you.”

The masked man with a hat, a lonely man prepares his first official mission. At same evening, this man observates the guard’s house from a hidden roof.

One soldier blocks the main door.

The man decides to shoot a rope at the balcony with his crossbow.

The second soldier doesn’t realize.

While the man knocks the guard out soundless...

...the captain of the citywatch examines a feared man.
Captain: “Do you know the masked man with the hat? The new overseer? The master? How many live in this city? Who is this Arral…something?”
Kerran: “I…i don’t know anything about that. I have nothing to do with the Brotherhood, i swear…”

The Captain punches him in the body: “WE KNOW, that you know it! We already know all, so don’t lie!”

Kerran: “If you know that all, why do you asking me?”

The captain kicks him again…

Captain: “Doesn’t matter, what you say. We know, you are a member of this group of vigilants or at least you know them. There’s only one chance to survive for you. I want names! Who are working for them in the eastern settlement? Speak!!”
Kerran: “Why you prisoned me? I didn’t do anything illegal! I won’t say anything. You can’t punch me, please... That’s again the king’s law..”
Captain laughs: “The king isn’t here. So there’s only one law here, the law of the guards. Today, the law, that’s me!”
Tadith: “You’re wrong! There’s another law.”

Captain: “Huh? And who are you?”
Tadith: “It’s judge! You prisoned free people without any reasons, you tortures prisoners while the citywatch lets criminals go to gain their parts by corruption. You wronged others and so justice arrives. Justice, that’s me, crownie!”

And the judging comes quickly…

Tadith frees the boy.
Kerran: “Thank you, i’m Kerran. They arrested me but i just travelled through the near wilderness. But who are you?”
Tadith: “Call me a brother. Come, we have to hurry.”

The doorkeeper is killed easily…

…and the door lock is cracked by a knife so, too.

A little later, the heros have reached the borderstreets of the city.
Kerran: “There’s a waggon, we should leave the city for the first time. The guards are searching us.”
But when Tadith peered around the corner, something different came into his mind. A weak memory seems to come back as he looks into the face of an older soldier.

Tadith: “That’s him! Oh no, i know that man. I’m sure, i remember... He’s the guy who killed my parents. The same face. So many years… And i could hit him with the crossbow now soo easily...”
Kerran: “But that would make them attentive. Remember the first tenet: Discretion, oh, and the third. You can’t do that!”
But he’s sunken in memories.
Tadith: “Maybe this is my only chance. I take my revenge...”

Of course, the city patrouil notices them.

On their chariot, they are too quick for most of the men but one rider stays confirmed.

Later, outside the city...

Tadith: “It seems we’ve left them behind. But to keep sure, we stay some days at my hideout before returning to the city. By the Way, I’m Tadith.”
Kerran: “Tadith your name? Well, you’re right, we should hide here until the city is calm again. But soon, i’ll try to get in unseen. I have an important information for our master. It has to arrive him quickly.”
Tadith: ”In the eastern settlement? You mean Arralek? Is he there? It’s the only name i was given.”

Kerran: ”Oh, you don’t know... Arralek is dead. He was killed recently. And Jin’tak, his disciple, he travelled east, but sent one brother to each settlement before. They are the overseers and organising all contacts. Brik, that’s the man, we have to find. I was on the way to him, but then crownies got me, i’m not sure, where they got the information who i am. Unfortunately, Master Brik lives in the city.”
Tadith: “I have much to learn. Most brothers here were killed when i joined. My only contact was a black cloated man and some letters unregulary. Well, let us sleep. We need energy if we’re still hunted.”

The next day, they awake as a patrouil passes the area.

Tadith: “Damn! They find us. My mission was to save you, so run away. It’s my turn.”
Kerran: “Wait! Don’t do that! They aren't our enemies, we can still hide.”

A soldier: “HEY! I listened something up there! Maybe our fugitives.”

Tadith reacts quickly and runs into battle.
“Kerran, go out of here!”

He tries his best but there’s no chance for him...
A strange looking man is holding the men back before they could kill Tadith.

Strange looking man: “STAY! The other one is unimportant for now. I was right, just a small messenger. This one is far more interesting. You are new, young boy but got much success in that short time. The citizen like you, they honour their new popular hero. They’re calling him the guy, who punishes those, who wronged others and bringing justice. The masked man with the hat. Or should i call you a son of a nameless poor merchant, Tadith?”

Tadith looks up surprised.

One hero has escaped, another been catched and unmasked. Is there a chance for Tadith? What does the soldier plan? And what’s the secret information for Master Brik?

Nice. Good to see how it links up with "Severed". Some of your grammar and spelling needs work, but a great story none the less.
