Experimenting with minifig posing and realistic barricades, as well as a contest entry.
About this creation
Yes, I'm lazy. Without contests I'd probably never get anything posted.
Imperialist starbases are designed as trade hubs, and do not tend to have a huge amount of hiding places.
However, as these two Imperial Knights have discovered, merely because a criminal organization sets itself up in an out of the way location does not neccesarily mean it plans to hide.
Indeed, they've discovered that starbases aren't just hard to hide in, they're also full of chokepoints.
These two have built themselves a barricade outside a storeroom in such a way that it allows them to sweep the entire corridor from both ends; before they entered the area they ordered the entire sector sealed with blast doors, ensuring that the only way out is through them.
Crims aren't stupid, however. They too have established strongpoints, meaning that the whole thing has ended up a stalemate.
Now, it all boils down to who runs out of ammo first.
Zenexabas Knights are elite peacekeeping troops, and do not waste ammunition readily.
This means that it all boils down to 'can the criminals get a lucky hit through the knight's armour before they run out of troops'.
Y'see, the adversaries do not have armour. They go down with a single good hit, whereas their opponents need to be hit in certain vulnerable locations.
Both sides know this, which is why, when assembling the barricade, the two Knights placed thick metal plates behind their crates, ensuring no nutshots for you!
Quoting Finn C-Q
One of the things there hiding behind is a gas container, right? If so, that's dangerous, right?
Thanks. And aksherlly, it's full of water; easy mistake, though. It's there because water saps the energy out of bullets pretty quickly, and, of course, because I'm lazy and it was sitting on the top layer of the bits-box.
