Highlands Battalion
~2,000 in these pics, taken at BrickWorld 2009, Chicago.
About this creation

Realized I have been neglecting sharing pics of this ever expanding army (technically not yet, 3,000 is supposed to be the minimum for an 'army', this is two battalions at this point).

It has been to BrickCon 2008, BrickWorld 2009, and it will be at BrickCon 2009.

BrickWorld saw it at ~2,000. BrickCon was supposed to see it at ~2,500, but a supply failure through one of the aftermarket companies for a 100 sand green Halo helmets will mean that I will miss this mark.

As always, the weapons are exclusively from Brickarms.

Please see my first post for some closer pics of the main characters Highlands Company.

Hope to see some of you at BrickCon.

Quoting danny morgan Yeah, I thought you might it a bit busy with all that. PS: Is that a brickarms minigun that that fig is holding in the main picture? If so, WHERE DID YOU GET IT?
It is a minigun - yes. As to where - Will of course. Buying this much product does come with some advantages.

Quoting danny morgan Hi there, That is the biggest lego army I've ever seen! Man, that must have cost $1000s. There is this group MOCoff that needs a judge if your interested, I'll invited you. It's called 'COP Vs. UNE Battle - diorama Mocoff'.
;-) you are off by a decimal point. As for judging - thanks, but the mocathalon is chewing up all my time at the moment.

Quoting Ryan T. So will you have 2,500 at Brickworld 2010?
Actually, there is a very funny story about that. If you are going to be there, then stop by. It is now a true army and then some. It will be well over 2,500...

I was right, it was superbly awesome in real life... the sheer spectacle of 2,150 (that was it, right?) LEGO people can not be cauptured by camera! It was awesome! (By the way, not that you care, I'm the son of the guy you talked to during the Eiffel Tower build)

It was pretty awesome being a couple spaces down from this at Brickworld. Though it did command the attention of the whole table area...

And to think you set all of them up at BW and they ran like the Federal troops at First Bull Run when Jojo paid a call. http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=130182&id=/user_images/15849/12458105692 (Yes, I miscounted the number of figs -- Lee's told me that already. Also, Bull Run was a U.S. Civil War battle for those who didn't know.)

DANGIT! Ocean stole my joke! When I first read the title I thought this was going to be a bunch of guys running around in skirts without underwear then I remembered Kelso is out of town... I remember seeing you set these up and thought about just how monotonous it must have been. Kinda like having to sit through dinner with that anoying chick you just met who's just too hot to say "no" to so you sit a listen to her carry on and on about her hair appointment and shoe shopping in the futile hope of... (censored for kid's site). Alright, time to go judge some Olympics matches! ~ Chris.

Quoting Finn C-Q Showoff, how much did it cost to buy this?
I suppose we all 'showoff' a bit, that is why we are on these pages. Showoff our skills, ideas, creations, collections, etc. As for cost: "if you have to ask...."
