Blacktron: the Stirring Menace
About this creation
It is a dark time for the Blacktron Agency. With the newly created Space Police III determined to bring order back to the galaxy, Blacktron assets have been dogedly pursued and eradicated from entire solar systems. Their bases gone, most of their ships impounded, the few remaining Blacktron agents have hidden themselves from their persuers and are forced to become more inventive to stay alive. Gone are the days of fleets of Invaders, Blacktron, like a desperate criminal on the run, is stealing and modifiying any spacecraft they can get their hands on. And just as a few hardy individuals survive an epidemic, so too the Blacktron survivors have become hard, callous and sworn to vengence. Beware citizen, Blacktron shall rise again...

Blacktron "Wild Boar", a heavily armoured space sedan, spotted in the Quox Sector:

Stolen space Utility "Gator", an armed courier used to ferry other stolen goods to secret Blacktron safe-houses:

Due to increased galactic security and scare resources, Blacktron are searching salvage yards and stealing old hardware from museums. One such find was an old Star Fleet Voyager, which actually predates the formation of Blacktron (seen here in her glory days).
Dubbed "Lurker", this old CS Model 6929 has been converted into an electronic warfare platform. Due to the mission profile of long loiter-time, the old fossil's slow speed is not a great handicap, given adequate escort protection. Guard postings at space museums have since been tripled:

Blacktron "Werewolf" transforming mecha, developed by a small band of Blacktron engineers on Graalun 4. The mech, disguised as an ordinary utility vehicle, has allowed these rogues access to certain restricted locations where they are able to steal or destroy what they want to and quietly sneak away undetected:

Notes: I took my cue from the alien-bad guys ships from the new SP3 sets and tried to give Blacktron a "punk" look, which was alot of fun, although the Werewolf transformer was a real brainbuster. I'd like to try more Lego transformers in the future but I think my brain can only handle one every six months! I started out with a mainly Bionicle frame with heaps of ball joints and spare points for technic pins and then tried to fold it up into a smaller shape, tried adding some wheels and then it was a matter of building up a truck shape but from unconnected sections. I kept having to transform it everytime a section was added to see if it didn't block other sections in the process. A lot of work!

Cheers guys and happy bricking!

This really shoulf go to some contest with big chance to win... In first model I admire how you used megablocks and slopes to achieve your goal, and surprisingly they worked well. In second model it seems to me like space monopost, maybe some cockpit would be convenient ...transforming van is breath-taking, so you can be really confident with this build :D 5/5

Nice selection of BT models, especially transformer one :D. As for space police and their constant harrasing:blacktrons shall rise from ashes like phoenix! Im working on BT APU(armored personel unit) it should be online in a day or so, in case you might want to check it...

G'day again mate, this is one impressive post, value for the buck so to speak. Clicking onto the that creepy looking Blacktron emblem you are unsure of what to expect, and then whoah, not one cool model but a handful. The Lurker is a particular fave, really cool shape, so classic/neo space, but in blacktron colors! Great presenatation here, top job!

Awesome, it's pretty 'oldschool lego' looking. The werewolf is nice, I've made transformers before, I once tried a bumblebee, but couldn't work in the legs. By the way, My friend recently went to Australia, and said "put another shrimp on the barby", therefore makeing them angery. Do you actualy talk like that? I'm not trying to be rude, raceist, or mean. :)

Quoting Mario man3138 Nice Shannon, will these be at Brickvention?
Sorry man, I made them a few months ago and they're already dismantled (I WAY behind on my mocpages posting-still got more stuff to post to catch up to what I'm currently doing). But I may build new mocs in this style for Brickvention-not sure what I'll display this year!

Haha, that saying always makes me laugh! I've never had BBQ'd shrimp before; I don't know anyone who does; don't know why the cliche is so popular :D Thanks mate.

Ya, thats how it goes with transformers: trying to make a frame, build around it, and constantly having to transform it. One thing I would recomend for transformers would be to use classic lego joints and hinges instead of bionicle and technic. This allows a cleaner look in vehicle mode and. if done right, a really good look in robot mode. You can look at some of mine if you need help.

I'll go ahead and echo everyone else here with "WOW! TRANSFORMING TRUCK!" My only hope is that he doesn't go over any speed bumps while in truck mode or that dude is going to be having a BAD day. The other builds were SWEET as well! That "Lurker"... perfection! keep em coming ShannO! ~ Chris.

Great job making a revival for blacktron! All that needs to be done now is for you to send these plans to LEGO, so that everyone can get blacktron again =D (as blacktron was out before I got into lego...)

Excellent Shannon. I like how especially in the first two models, you use more "basic" bricks but still come up with an interesting and unique shape. You show that one can be creative regardless if they have highly specialized pieces or not.

Amazing job on these MOCs, and the storyline makes them come alive. The transforming Mech is especially impressive. I was never really into space (I missed the glory days of Blacktron, M-tron and Futron as I'm too young) but I have loads of the parts from that era as a lot of my bricks are second hand. You've inspired me to give them a go; until now they've just taken up space in the box and rarely been used. Thanks, and top building : ) A.F
