Prototype One
Micro-Mecha Prototype One - a micro-mech based on a Japanese design.
About this creation
I've only recently become aware of the madskillz of 'kashiwa' via his Brickshelf gallery. When I first saw his Advanced Frame micro-mecha, I was gobsmacked. Such tiny pieces, only a few, every one of them carfeully placed, to create fully articulated miniature mecha robots - I was totally blown away.

I also discovered the Advanced Frame 2 MOCs of 'zizy2' here at Brickshelf - also simply awe-inspiring.

So imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I tried to have a go at coming up with something at least similar and spent several hours dissecting a couple of images to suss out tricks of these mad Lego ninjas. There are just a few parts that are key to these micro-mecha, all of which I don't have enough of (curses!) and I'll add more information after I dig up the part numbers.

But for now, here's my first Micro-Mecha, the MM ProtoType-01, with mad props to kashiwa and zizy2...

I might do up some weapons for it, but it was really an experiment in the building techniques of kashiwa and zizy2. I can only hope my second micro-mecha is even half as good as theirs!

marvelous mini mech. Yeah I love zizy2's mechs too, I'm currently having a go at making some designs inspired by them as well. Can't beat the master, but I'd be happy if I can do half as well.

Me neither. I don't get how this could get such a low mark. Jealousy perhaps? Maybe you should redo this MOCpage. But it's good! I love the legs, those are my favorite parts. Good luck in the future!
