Stealth Titan Runner-02, a fully armored reverse-leg mecha using Exo-Force parts.
About this creation
Introducing the Exo-Force Stealth Titan Runner-02, the fully-armoured medium size mech based on the XO4S STR-01 mobility frame and removable cabin. If anyone wants more info, email me or let me know in your review and I'll try and get it added asap. (For the curious, yes, this was indeed inspired by the Glaug/Marauder of Macross/Robotech and Battletech fame. To this day it is still my favourite mech. =) 25 April 2006 Austin, this use most of the parts from the Sleath Hunter and Grand Titan sets, but it does use quite a few parts from my ancient Classic Space collection - to see this mech with only parts from the Exo-Force sets, check out the STR-01 here. 11 May 2006 David, thank you for the kind words - re. "and it's a bit odd the way you are so uncertain of what things do" - I think you mean my comic use of 'probably' hehe that's just my sense of humour which I think you missed. I used the word because plastic bricks really can be anything, so when used in certain places they are 'probably' something else entirely. =)The legs may appear thin - this is the illusion I like with reverse leg mech designs - this Lego mech happily holds its weight, although the main articulation points have been stiffened in order to do so. If I can find the Brickshelf pics that explain how to stiffen the joints I will post it here! Here is the Brickshelf gallery for increasing the stiffness, friction or 'clutch power' of articulated Lego parts. 9 February 2008 Unfortunately, due to changes in the way MOCpages.com handles images hosted on Brickshelf.com, I lost all the notes on eaach picture after using the 'Change this page' option. I'm still quite irritated about it and was considering moving everything off MOCpages to my flickr account. After I calmed down a bit I figured at least I can put the pictures back up. As for all my notes on the pics, well they're gone - maybe I'll create a flickr set and start again sometime in the future. 12 February 2008 Some word math for the lame gag crowd... 7700 Stealth Hunter + 7701 Grand Titan = STR-02 Stealth Titan Runner Of course this thing aint stealthy, like most other giant-robot-warmachines-of-mass-destruction. Thanks for stopping by. =]
Star Wars LEGO sets available from Amazon - a few hard-to-find sets available too! Death Star II, UCS Star Destroyer, Jabba's Sail Barge plus the Millenium Falcon)

This baby looks like a hybrid of the Robotech Mac II Monster and a Battletech Marauder and I love it! A while back I built my own version of a mech using this form and after seeing your version I think both would look great storming the battlefield and laying waste to their unfortunate victims. |

it actually reminded me of the Behemoth mech. That's what I first thought of when I saw it. But hey, it's your moc and if you say Marauder, then so be it, I'll take it. I don't really care what it's called or designed after it's just freakin sweet. Great work, I'm starting to become a big fan. Later ~ Chris. |

The mech kicks all kinds of booty. I was inspired by this design when I saw it a few months ago. Now that I'm registered I just wanted to say WOW. Keep up the good work and if you ever do an instruction set for this let me know. I have both exoforce sets and 35 other lego sets that I think I could replicate this from. |

Wow, brilliant MOC! Love the overall look, and that great big cannon reminds me of an old game called "metal fatigue". Are all those stickers and arty stuff part of the sets you built it from or are they customs (never having owned "Exo-Force" etc)? The legs look *slightly* too thing and gangly for such a large torso and apparantly heavy cannon of the beast, and it's a bit odd the way you are so uncertain of what things do... but hey, it came to you in a vision, right?! ;-P |
