Here is the 8th part in my U.R.S. vs F.I.S war series. There isn't that much action in this episode but it an important one, so if you wan't to read the rest of the series, you need to read this one first. Please comment, rate and enjoy.
About this creation
Once the F.I.S. had disappeared into the forest, Blast sat up clutching his chest.
"Are you all right?" Nightblaze asked.
"No. I need a medic." R.K. replied. He was obviously in great pain.
After a few minutes a medic had bandaged up his wounds and given him some advice. Blast stood up leaning slightly to his good side. He had been shot just below the heart.
"Now. Let’s see to that mechanical terror."
Blast walked gingerly over to where the cyborg had fallen, accompanied by Fixer and Jelli. The others looked for any wounded men or counted the dead.
“So Mr. Mechanical. What do we have here?” Blast mumbled to the disabled droid. He bent over and tapped on the chest plating. It was very thick and tightly sealed.
“If you will?” R.K. indicated to Fixer and he pulled out a fusion cutter and sliced into the protective plating then stepped back.
“Hm...” R.K. opened it up and peered inside.
“Looks like some fairly simple wiring.” Commented Fixer, looking over Blast’s shoulder.
“Yer, but that might be a problem.” R.K. pointed at a small black box that held the wire attachments. “Do you think you could...?”
“No problem.” Fixer answered even before Blast had finished the question. R.K. stepped away and Fixer knelt down with his tools that he had Commander Falcon fetch for him from the ship and set to work.
About half an hour later and Fixer was still working. R.K. was talking to Jelli and a medic. Nightblaze and Falcon were taking all the dead into the forest to be buried. Dyllo Dyllo was searching the ship for anything useful. Padfoot was taking notes on the ship for Blast and the rest were just sitting about resting or having a short nap.
“Ah ha!” cried Fixer eventually. Blast walked over along with a few others to see what had happened.
“Its open sir!” Fixer said smiling up at Blast and squinting in the sun.
“Brilliant. Well done Fixer.”
Fixer got up and R.K. had a closer look. The troublesome box had been opened up exposing the wire settings and control switches.
“Now then...” Blast did a little bit of fiddling with some help for Fixer and after another hour had canceled any currently running programs, recalibrated the codes and reset any old alliances.
“Ready?” R.K. asked tentatively
“Go for it.” Fixer said and Blast flicked the switch to turn Electrock on. Instantly the red eyes lit up and for a moment R.K. thought it hadn’t worked but then they turned into a shining green and he breathed a sigh of relief.
Electrock sat up and looked around.
“Who are you?” he asked R.K., still sounding rather menacing.
“I’m R.K. Blast; Commander of the 609th and leader of the U.R.S. You took a nasty shot, but you should be ok now.” Blast hoped it was working.
“A nasty shot?” Electrock was very confused.
“Yes you work with us. We are against the F.I.S. and they ambushed us. You were shot and knocked out. I have just restored you.” R.K. lied.
“Well thank you...um...R.K.. But I don’t remember much. You shall have to fill me in on all the details.” Electrock stood up and looked down at Blast.
“Of course. Let’s go sit down.” R.K. indicated to some conveniently positioned rocks. As they walked over to them Blast put one hand behind his back and gave the thumbs up sign to Fixer who smiled and walked away to find something to do.
And so R.K. filled General Electrock in on all the details that would make him now hate the F.I.S. and be loyal to and fight for the U.R.S..
A couple of hours passed and at last the General had been filled in with enough fake memories to make him work with Blast and the U.R.S.. They stood up.
“I have now given you everything I can remember.” R.K. said looking up at the enormous General.
“Thank you R.K.. I am sorry I couldn’t remember anything myself.” When the General said this, Blast had to look away, as he suddenly felt guilty for removing his memory, but then he remembered that if he hadn’t; they would now all be dead!
“There’s no problem El’. Now let’s go find some other team members and see if they bring back any memories.”
But little did anybody know, all of the time, they were being watched from the forest edge. The person had been watching the ship even from before it had landed, waiting for someone to come, and the right time to show themselves. They chose then.
He leapt from the edge of the forest with incredible power; and landed just in front of R.K. and Electrock.
“Aargh!” Electrock screamed in rage and for another terrible moment, Blast thought he had remembered who he really was... But then it died down and Blast suddenly saw the mysterious newcomer.
“Who are you and what do you want?” He asked sternly.
“I am Argon Warrt. I am here to talk to you about your ship.” the forest stranger replied.
