1:17 scale model of Liebherr L 580 wheel loader. Features 4×4 drive, rear pendular suspension, lights and arm & bucket controlled remotely with linear actuators.

About this creation

I would like to present my first wheel loader. I built it, because when I was browsing the net I found a picture which was showing an 8x4 tipper truck and a Liebherr wheel loader.Then I thought that it would be nice to have a tipper truck (my Iveco Eurotrakker 8x4) and a loader in the same scale :)

The model has detailed cab interior and openable door:

This loader is driven by PF XL motor, with 3:1 reduction:

The steering is achieved by a 8 studs long gear rack placed on the right side of the loader, and it's driven by a PF Medium motor through a worm gear.

PF M Motor placed in front half of the loader is used for tilting the bucket:

The arm is raised and lowered by a XL motor:

Photos of all mechanism builded inside, with proper connections to the loader chassis (except the XL motor which is used for raising the arm)

Your creations were some of the first I discovered on MOCPages. Along with others, they inspired me to start building again. This is another technically flawless build! You do amazing work, and you must do an equally amazing amount of research. Keep it up Mark, Eric.
