So, I wanted to build a "real" Star Wars minifig-scale walker. BUT I didn't want to do the standard AT-ST, AT-AT, AT-TE, etc, so I decided on the AT-PT. This was very HARD to build! I spent a week building, tearing apart, smashing, rebuilding, etc. but, after all that, I think I made something cool. I know some of you will find some faults, but this is as close to accurate as I could get. NOTE: There's been some confusion as to which walker this is, so I'll explain. This is NOT the AT-AP (All Terrain Attack Pod) the walker with 3 legs that appears in Episode 3. This is the AT-PT (All Terrain Personal Transport). It never appeared in any Star Wars movies. It's from the expanded universe. Hopefully, that clears things up. Please rate and comment:)

Very nice! You've really captured the shaping, however it's a bit tall for minifig scale. Great work! |

Well, I've already made the whole front/nose thing and "cockpit" (I've got the basic shape...), so I'm just gonna throw some gray here and there... :D |

Cool! I've seen the E-Wing done in gray too, so you could always do that. |

Well, I just finished Indy today, so I'm not sure. I got a couple ideas. I'm gonna try to finish the next part of my comic. |

(Just in case you didn't realize, I said the Wookieepedia legs looked gewfier than yours... ;)) I can't wait for the E-wing if you make it! ;D But your Walker is well done - I just wish LEGO had yellow and black striped tiles.... That'd be sweet! :D.
They do actually make black and yellow striped tile pieces that come in some of their construction sets, but I don't have any of those:( |

OK.... Very nice build!! I looked at a pic on Wookieepedia, and I noticed the legs were longer, and also came farther back.... But they just looked plain GEWFY! (Uh... Go ofy) Although you COULD have made them a bit longer... This came out awesome! I hope you post more (Ehhh... Imperial...) craft! Although I would LOVE to see you recreate something like this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/E-wing or some other Rebel craft. :D Other fighters can be found here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Starfighter
Thanks! Yeah, I admit my walker isn't perfect. The legs are actually longer than they look, but, because it's hunched down, the legs look short. Thanks for the links! I might try an E-Wing next. |

Very, very nice work! I see you modeled it off this reference pic: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/a/a6/AT-PT_NEGVV.jpg
I applaud you on the details such as all the cannons on the front, and the legs; I only, aside from the grey mixing which already was covered, have two pet peeves:
The feet are a little lumpy/blocky/large.
The top half could taper down differently in my opinion.
On top of the FRONT HALF of the model, there is this: / In my opinion that should be a little lower, and connect to the rear half a little better.
Just my two cents; I really do love your detailing of the model!
Thanks for the tips:) |

Greebling is detailing basically. Like the surface of a Star Destroyer. All the little pieces and parts that make the surface look more complicated. Does that make sense? |

I've never really liked the AT-PT, mostly because I detest the 'earthly universe' windshield, but your rendition really brings it to life in true LEGO form! I do have a couple suggestions, however. Where the legs attach to the body, I don't like seeing the gap between the parabola and the chassis. And I think the rear end needs more greebling.
Thanks for the helpful hints:)
