Triffid
Unusual space fighter much better suited for space combat than classical vessels.
About this creation
A cheap solution how to make a space fighter manouverable, fast and strong at once wihout having super powerful reactor and other extremely expensive systems.

The Triffid in this form works as highly manouverable craft. It can attack in any direction, and fly in any direction, thus the ship has no weak points. Arms can move and attack targets that are under and over the fighter.

It is hard to hit the Triffid from the side, and impossible to attack safely. Attacker will face either rapid-fire guns or one of three heavier cannons.

When firepower or speed is needed, the Triffid transforms into this form. It has now much better speed as 3 engines point in the same direction, and more firepower as it can fire in one point from 12 guns.

It is intresting that that form can shoot both forward and backwards, and can accelerate both forward and backwards. However, the manouverability is seriously limited now.

Underside... kind of, as this changes :D

The cockpit. Triffid is piloted by a droid, just because the pilot has to have the ability to turn head around in full 360 degrees... :D

Wow. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it. Designing something like this really takes some thinking outside the box. I wonder: how would this ingenious concept work on a larger scale?

Amazing innovation! The transforming aspect is well formulated. One thing: buy a poster board to save the trouble of piecing together a white background.
