First day of Boot Camp!
About this creation
Hi guys! Haven't been able to post a comic in a while! I've been too busy with school, but I've finally gotten around to posting a new issue. One thing to check out: A few scenes have a background pic, like woods, etc. It would be great if you guys could tell me how these look. Thanks and Enjoy!

In the early hours of the morning, the sound of a great horn wakes the camp.

Peter: "What's that noise?"
Matt: "It must be the horn to wake us up..."
Peter: "Well, that's fine with me. I'm ready for some breakfast!"

Sgt. Scott: "Where do you recruits think you're going?"
Peter: "To eat breakfast, sir."
Sgt. Scott: "I don't think so, first we're going to do some morning exercises! Everybody out of the tents! Form up!"

Sgt. Scott: "Drop down and give me 100 push-ups! If you can't keep up, you'll do 100 more!"

Sgt. Scott: "Now you can go eat breakfast, but hurry because there's much more training to do afterwards!"

The tired recruits head over to the mess to get some breakfast...
Cooke: "Well, hello there, Matt and Peter! Who's you're friends?"
Matt: "This is Will and Adam. They came with us yesterday from the city."
Cooke: "Well pleased to meet you, Will and Adam. My name's Cooke and I'm the cook here at the camp."
Peter: "So what's for breakfast today, Mr. Cooke?"
Cooke: "For breakfast today, we have... leftover Fish Stew!"
After a few dissapointed groans...
Cooke: "Don't worry, the leftovers should be gone by tomorrow and I'll have something new to cook up! Now you'd better get back to your camp and eat before your breaktime is up!"

Matt: "Ok! Thanks Mr. Cooke!"

Back at camp...
Peter: "I don't care what you guys think, this Fish Stew is delicious!"
Will: "Not for breakfast it isn't!"
Matt: "Oh well, you heard Cooke. We'll have some new food tomorrow."

Sgt. Scott: "Ok, recruits! Breaktime's over! Back to business! Follow me!"

The recruits follow the Sergeant to the arena...
Sgt. Scott: "Alright, recruits, we're gonna have a bit of practive with the Spear! The spear is the standard weapon in the Crown Army. Learn to use it, and you should be well protected."

Sgt. Scott: "Now see those target dummys? You're going to run at them and stab them with your spear. Got it?"
Recruits: "Yes Sir!"
Sgt. Scott: "Good. Now you first four, Go!"

The recruits hit the targets with ease.
Sgt. Scott: "Now try to knock them over with the force from your spear!"

That part proves not to be so easy...

Next the other four recruits get a turn, the only one able to knock down the dummy is Hunter's companion, Brutus.

After a full afternoon of Spear Practice, the recruits get to do another 200 push-ups.
But finally, the sun begins to set and the recruits get to rest after another helping of Fish Stew...

Matt: "Boot camp is much harder than I imagined it..."
Adam: "Sure is! All that work and the only thing we get to eat is fish stew!"
Peter: "Well, I'm glad they finally gave us a chance to rest!"
Matt: "Yeah, and we got this nice fire going too!"

Sgt. Scott: "Lights out, recruits! Bedtime!"
And so ends the first day of Boot Camp for Matt and his friends.
Thanks for reading, guys! Please don't forget to comment! Tell me how you like the backgrounds too!

Awesome work! Doing 300 push-ups a day must feel tiring, though... |

Awesome, can't wait to see more. The only problem (which was at the beggining) is that peasents were never trained as knights. Other than that, great story! |
