A Southwestern style home featuring some extensive use of glass brick which is illuminated at night giving a nice effect when viewed from the front. The interior has varying tiled flooring in each room and an extensive patio area in the back with provision for the owner's motorhome, boat and trailer.
About this creation
This is an example of another contemporary style architecture that I threw together while waiting on some robotics parts. The picture I saw showed the home being illuminated at night with a large number of recessed lights which I was unable to duplicate therefore my pictures didn't come nearly as well as I anticipated. I apologize for not expending more effort on the yard and other exterior elements. The girl looking out of the portal above the garage is standing on a walkway to the "Owner's Retreat" that is accessible both from the central 2nd floor deck and from an interior stairway off of the kitchen.
This is another contemporary house built on a lakefront lot in the Pacific Northwest. The house is actually built on fairly steeply sloping lot from front to rear but I wanted to, first, experiment with some rockbuilding before tackling that sort of project so I had to change the construction somewhat and just simulate the house being on an elevated piece of ground.
This is the front view of a contemporary house that is my Lego interpretation of
a picture from the Internet at a house plan site. The house plan sites normally
only show the front view of a house so the sides and back are generally just some
ideas that I had that I thought might look ok with a particular house. The overall
shape and dimensions of the house are determined by the floorplans which are available
along with the picture or in some cases, a drawing. The challenge is to see how close
I can duplicate what I'm seeing in the pictures. Because of limitations in Lego, particularly in regards to roof parts, it may or may not be an accurate representation.
I use a scale of one stud = 1 foot when converting the floorplan to Lego.
I saw a house similar to some of those on Google Sketchup.
Im just here to ask your help in
designing a high rise condo building. I can't find many online and I just bought a 32x32 stud baseplate at Walmart recently. Please email me suggestions at Jordantaylorrocks@gmail.com.
i think these are the best lego houses I have ever seen. This man must be amazing and extremly organized and talented. His choice of color is fabulous. I look forward to seeing more of these masterpeices.
Hi Milton. WOW - I love to build houses and other buildings with my Lego's, so to me, these houses are totally awesome. I love them all. The detail is awesome on them all. I've been thinking about doing a southwestern house, and you sure have inspired me to give it a try. Please keep your houses coming - I want to see more.
Milton, you should consider yourself lucky for having all those legos to build with. Not that your buildings are bad, in fact they are near
-perfect, but I recommend going to houseplansandmore.com. with your level of talent, you should be able to perfectly replicate any design on that site. Keep up the good work!
