Here I present the General's Garden. This vignette is at Ching Dynasty, AD 1644~1917, more detail can be found here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ching_Dynasty.
In that time, any Noble or Generals always have their own garden in their backyard. The typical garden will embrace small pool, stone bridge, gallery connected to the house, trees, bushes, stone pathway, and of course octogonal pavilion, the heart of the garden, which master enjoy to take in everything at a glance.
The garden can be considered as the important element in the sino-architecture (sino means chinese).

Beautiful! Nice SNOT technique on the water. I love the size of this creation, not too big, not too small. This should be a set. |

Well built! It's really has an accurate layout. Reminds me of the Botanical Gardens in Montreal. Now, is this the same General behind the famous chicken recipe? |

Great work Stephen! I love the roof design on the octagonal pavilion and the stone path is also very well done. The whole scene does a great job of capturing the Sino-Architecture style. I've also blogged this on http://www.classic-town.net. :-) |

This is really incredible on SOO many different levels. You're an awesome photographer and an even better builder. It's a shame the only Chinese Legos,... aren't real Legos. I usually buy a few sets whenever I'm there, but God forbid I use any of those pieces in a MOC. The purists among us don't take that kind of thing lightly.
I also hate Chinese fake LEGO, the quality is so low, I never buy them at all. |

Yeah, they are samples of custom parts come from my friends. You can check them out here: http://www.bricktw.com/
The reason I built this garden is that I got those so delicate Ching Dynasty minifigs, so I cannot bear there is no vignette for them. |
