Here's my new model, the Evo 10, it's 17 wide, and it was so hard to build, I used the half stud technique for the fenders around the wheels, inspiered by great builder Ralph Savelsberg, and I tried to make it my most detailed model I've ever build, any way you can decide that, so hope to enjoy my creation, thanks for visiting my page.
About this creation
Lancer Evo X:
In 2005, Mitsubishi introduced a concept version of the next-gen Evolution at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show named the Concept-X, designed by Omer Halilhodþiã at the company's European design centre.
Mitsubishi unveiled a second concept car, the Prototype-X, at the 2007 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).
The Lancer Evolution X sedan features a newly designed 4B11T 2.0 L turbocharged, all-aluminum inline-4 engine. Power and torque depend on the market but all versions will have at least 280 PS (205.9 kW; 276.2 hp) (JDM version), the American market version will have slightly more. The UK models will be reworked by Mitsubishi UK, in accordance with previous MR Evolutions bearing the FQ badge. Options for the UK Evolutions are expected to be between 300 hp (220 kW) and 360 hp (270 kW). Two versions of the car will be offered in the U.S. The Lancer Evolution MR, with 6-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic Shift Transmission (TC-SST). The other version is the GSR which will have a 5-speed manual transmission system. The car has also a new full-time all-wheel drive system named S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control), an advanced version of Mitsubishi's AWC system used in previous generations. The S-AWC uses torque vectoring technology to send different amount of torque to any wheel at any given time.
It also features Mitsubishi's new sequential semi-automatic six speed Twin Clutch SST twin-clutch transmission with steering-mounted magnesium alloy shift paddles. A five speed manual gearbox will also be available. Mitsubishi claims that the five speed manual transmission has always been preferred in rallying and should be very refined, resulting in a more satisfying drive. New Lancer Evolution will incorporate Mitsubishi's next generation RISE safety body.
The production version of Prototype-X has begun production in Autumn 2007. The Evolution X went on sale October 1, 2007 in Japan then in January 2008 in the USA, February in Canada (as the first version of Evolution in Canada) and in March 2008 in the UK at prices between £29,999 and £49,999. The Twin Clutch SST version was available in Japan from November 2007. Europe will follow with sales in May, GSR and MR version included premium Package).
The overall look:
Lets start with a couple of front shots.
Some side view shots.
Some rear and rear-side shots.
Some shots from the top (bird's eyes).
The functional elements:
Four doors open...
...and everything else.
...and the opening trunk, some Technic pieces used to make it open.
A couple of shots for the interior from the driver's side.
A shot for the interior from the passenger's side.
And here're a couple of shots for the overall interior without the roof... More shots for the detailed interior in the "details" section.
I've taken this model to another level in the amount of details, tried my best to make it my most detailed car to date; what do you think?
Check them out...
Front grill, also notice the intercooler thru the front bumper.
Front air intakes.
Opening little emergency box, also notice the rear huge speakers.
Opening glove box between the front seats, also notice the cup holders.
And this little detail for the arms right on the middle of the rear seats, I don't know what it called(any one?), but it's working ;)
And finally air condition for the rear passengers.
One of my favorite parts at this model, the realistic looking brakes with the drums behinde the wheels...
Like my brake clippers with the drums!? now I'll show you how I made it.
Here you have to place one side of the tires, one side from the outside, and one in the inside.
Now add the brake clippers with the drum.
Now it's ready.
Here's a final pic to show you how to sort the pieces.
Yes it passed the roof crash test ;)
Hope you liked it guys, see you "later" with a new MOC.
That is astonishing! I love the clippers and pads, the imtakes, and the seat. I had to do a double take when I saw it, because I tjought someone uploaded a picture of the car. That has amazing details, nice color, and great size ratio. 6/5! Congrats on MOTD.
WOw. Well you certainly might know that those door making bricks, those flat red ones that can stretch its wings out, is so nice but so hard to use 'cause they can't shut nor open well with the door attached to it. Specially with 4 doors and 2 in each sides, but here is the solution!!! You have put the brick in the other side! How simple! Great idea!
Do the brake pads spin with the wheel? How did you make it 17 studs wide? Did you use the Lego piece that is almost a completely smooth but it has a stud in the middle? Thank you for commenting on my Maserati Granturismo GranCabrio.
This model is awesome! Great detail. I love all your models. How can I get your email? I would love to get my hands on the instructions for your models. I would pay good cash for them!
My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
cool this is brilliant you are by far the best large scale car maker ever!!!!!
im going to give you a 10/5 you are amazing!!!!
But firas please could you check some of my mocs when you have the time it would be great ot have your opinion on them please it would mean a lot.
I know this has been up for a while now, but it really is a sweet ride. This is just the type of thing I dreamed about building back in my old technic days as a lad. You really have mastered your chosen field here.
...one thing more to say: when I saw the BoW challenge "Four or more" and my mind combined this with your favorite make, I thought your next build must obviously be the "Estoque". And then you surprised me once again...however, will there be a try on the Estoque? (PLEASE; PLEASE; PLEASE!!!!)

Woah, thats awsome! How do design these, what do the stages go like? do you draw a picture then turn that into lego? how do you get them so accurate?!?!
Oh well, Firas! Did you ever realize that I next to never commented on your latest creations? Shame on me. Maybe it's so because as soon as I see your newest creation I'm speechless and drooling all over my keyboard.
This EVO is no exclusion from this rule, quite the contrary. The fenders are an epic win, taking your styles to yet another level (again!). And then the brake calipers - so clever! Innovation on every square millimeter you look at.
I could keep on with this for hours...or until you post your next ingenious creation. Best wishes & keep on brickin', Jens
oh my god this is awesome! you know all the details... the moving part on the rear seats - isn't it called just armrest? :-) but the interior i mean the cup holders and air conditioning and the SEATS i simply dig watching this one! :-) and the beautiful wheels with brakes :-P amazing as always! but we got used to see only a high quallity MOCs from you, didn't we? :-) i am still wondering... do the brakes hold still when the wheels spin or do they spin as well? either way - great idea and great looking detail! (i love the useage of the vodafone sticker - an f1 set?) i love it. love it love it love it.
four last words: red hot chilli pepper :-)
Let me comment again>>> This is really great! The whole thing I mean ;)... Anyway, the seat idea was great! The way you put the "teeth" pieces really gave the tuner its natural tuner look! The use of pieces is great. This car is a pretty difficult car to build, but you really pushed the envelope on this! I really enjoyed this piece of work from you! Oh and, I have a request that you can try??? Ummm, lets see... Oh! Could you tune it? That'll really make it look awesome-er-er. But great job again and Keep up the good work (As always>>>)
Because of you I will never post a car MOC because I know it could never be as awesomly amazing as yours...
And because you've made like, all of my favorite cars, R8, Reventon, HX, Tomohawk,...
The disk break tecnique seems unthinkable.
You forgot to thank all of those on flickr (like me :) for giving you "inspiration" and helping you choose...
Still, THANKS FOR BUILDING THE EVO!!!! YAY!!! 4 your next car, howabout a GTR, no matter how ugly Raphy thinks they are.
Who said perfection doens't exist? You proved him wrong. This MOC is stunning. By the way, I totally agree with your comment about MOC pages and Flickr; and hope to see some good builders come back, like Thomas Nuñez for exemple.
My jaw is in my lap! You've blown my mind yet again, only this time, it was blown from four doors, instead of two. My favorite part is the front, with that beautiful grille and those awesome headlights. Here's ten smilies: :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) See? It's possible! Add that to the five smiles I've already given you, plus the smile on my face, and you've got sixteen! I think that's a new record!
I'm glad to see this amount of views and smily(s) over here in such a short time; round 24 hours(thank you a lot guys), I posted this yesterday and got to bed, when I checked this out later today I really surprised, to be honest I didn't expect more than a few comments on this, and the main reason of that coz I felt MOCpages isn't as active as before, but this proved me wrong, great to see this lovely amazing site is still active and interesting, specially after those several complaints from some builders around here and over Flickr (that boring site) as well, MOCpages IMO is still the best; pure LEGO, pure FREE! and more interesting and easy to use, specially after the new system Sean made when you get an email when one of your favorite builders post a new MOC. I mean people come on; if you don't like some stuff around the pages you don't have to check them out, some times I don't even visit the main page of MOCpages, my favorite builders list is more for me like a "contact list", so when one of my contacts post a new MOC I see it and may be I review it as well, otherwise you don't have to check other pages, so please stop: "I'm leaving MOCpages and going on to Flickr", personally I don't like Flicker as much as I like MOCpages, I've seen a lot of bad quality stuff and "rude" people as well over Flickr, so you can say Flickr is No' 2 for me right after my favorite site ever, "MOCpages-our lovely home" :)
OK, I always say how amazing your cars are and I don't want this message to get taken as exaggeration, so I'll say it very slowly!- This Is. The Best Large Scale Car On MOCpages. That's not a quick thoughtless comment, I really believe this is the best car we've seen yet. And what makes it better is that it's a relatively everyday car, not a Zonda, Lamborghini or Ferrari. Obviously a 10/10, but this is way way better than an out of ten score can recognise. Inspiring stuff : )
What a beauty you created Firas! The details are just so realistic and amazing. The interior is just awesome.:D Your presentation on this and other creations is just one of the best I've seen on Mocpages. Really love that. Great work once again. ~ Ghostman :)
Hi Firas, great job, as always! I really like the Evo, and a Ralli-Art version would be great too, with the roll-cage, etc. They do a lot of rallying with those babies.
The detail is superb! I especially like the brake system, really detailled. Have you noticed i have used a simular setup on my last truck, but yours look better :-)
Yes my friend. You did it again and again....
The front is the best one i´ve ever seen.Ok,after your Mustangs,Lambos, the GT,Audi,etc... i thought you can´t build a better one.But this time i´m speechless.
The best evo ever made with lego. The details are stunning. The engine is awesome, and looks exactly like the real engine. the seats with the seatbelts are a great touch and the windscreenwhipers are also a good touch. the Brake-callipers are the best here, and the intstructions for it are very cool. This is a very clever idea, for making it in this way. this is the best fourdoor car model ever here. the red color is awesome. keep it up my friend ;).
Everything you touch turns into gold... or excellent creations. I guess I don't need to tell you that this car is amazing, just all of your cars look extremely cool and realistic. But in my opinion the brakes in this model are the absolute highlight!
Killer work, Firas! You really pushed the envelope with the details, and they look phenomenal. A lot of amazing angles achieved on this one, too. And on a side note here: we SO need to petition Lego for some wedge tiles that we can use in place of those 2x3 and 2x4 wedge plates. I use them constantly and there's just no getting rid of the studs (noticed them in your work on the spoiler). Anyway, brilliant as always, Firas!!
I'm very happy that you've made a sedan ! And what a sedan ! A real beast ! At this level of quality, you're alone in the sky flying high. The front must had been quite a challenge to made. I really love the seats also ! One of your best, really it's a dream MOC !
You really took care of the details on this one! It looks quite real! The engine is my favourite. I think you are just about the only one who did it as realistic as it gets. The interior is perfect. All in all I think It'S your best yet!
It always brings some laughing when you add at the very end of your presentation "I hope you like..." :D :D "Everyone loves your cars" is the least I can say!!! Brilliant techniques and ideas all around here. Very much inspired from you. If I'm honest - you are the reason why I started to build cars (not trucks) :) So, let's enjoy this one for a month until you surprise us with something epic again...
The angle on the front grille is excellent, also the half-stud offset around the wheels. It really all comes through in the photos!
New level of details in the interior is interessting. Especially the cupholders, although I didnt like the technic-piece used for it. Maybe a "normal" technnic brick instead¿?
-And thanks for the how-to on the wheels+brakes!

Fantastic Firas, and the slant work makes it look that much better, more rounded. And definitely your great techniques! ~T
There's a reason you're the master of car models, and THIS is it! Just an amazing build. Gotta admit though, that pic with it "up on blocks" made me giggle a little bit. Maybe just from my professional experience. Great moc Firas, keep em coming! ~ Chris.
Just in the moment i think that i´ve seen everything in lego cars, you came with another creation that makes me shut-up and admire!!!!
Don´t know if i write this before, but i dont mind, you are the best my friend!!!
WOW I am blown away by the greatest Evo X ever made!!! 100,000,000,000,000/10!!! P.S is it okay if I copy a couple of things from your LP640, because I getting started on my 14-wide and haven't had anything in mind to make it look different?
Ooh, I was hoping for this one! Everything here is done perfectly here my friend, from the lights, to the interior, and even the wheels. And as I look closer, I see more and more details! This one's loaded and ready to go! :D Nothin' like coming home from school and seeing this beauty first thing (days that you post are like holidays for me). Again, fantastic job, keep it up! BTW, I think that area between the front seats is called the "console". We just bought a new Prius (:P) and I kept hearing talk form the dealers about that part.
Firas, simply amazing, you have gone BEYOND awsome with this one, it is just 100% accurate to the real thing! also, i would say this is your MOST detailed car so far, the extent you went to actually create disk brakes...just...masterful, my favourite part of this would be the grill, congratulations on another great masterpiece, you remain the best auto-mobile builder to date. :D
Awesome work Firas! the seats look really nice and from what i saw the engine was BEAST, but i'd like to see some more pics of the engine. Great overall shape and awesome details. nice job and keep up the fantastic work!
Awesome! I thought you were hinting that you were going to build an Impreza, but this amazing! I love everything about it. The body's shape and design is very true to life. I love the Sparco racing seat a lot. The engine bay is sick. I like how you did the intercooler in the grill. I might try and build this car someday- it would be a good challenge! This car would look very nice next to any of your awesome Lamborghini's, and other great cars! I love all of your cars, keep building great cars my friend! Thank you for the nice comment on my Prius-http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/156558
DUDE!!!!! THAT IS EPIC!!! By the way, it's called an armrest. One thing: I don't think you quite nailed the headlight design. Otherwise, it was <insert expletive here> brilliant. Can you please come check out my MOCs? I'd like some building tips. :-)
