The Adventures of the Dread Pirate Ribberts continue! This time, we meet our... hero? let's go with that for now... Inside the city walls! His troops have overrun the bridge guard, and now his search begins for the golden protocol droid, C-3P0! This droid is rumored to contain the meaning of life, and how one should live in order to be happy. Isn't it ironic that so much suffering should be caused to retrieve it? Ribberts plans on selling the golden philosopher to the highest bidder, but wait! Geoffrey Wilson has interfered once more! Let's see what's happening...
About this creation
We begin our story at the fourth-street canal crossing. The crossing itself is a small brige made for pedestrians, and the site of the most deaths in the city of Floria's history. It's also the most heavily policed as it has no handrails and there's a bar right across the street.
Here, we can see Ribbert's undead minions burning the local flora. It's rule #43 in the Pirate handbook that the invaded population center MUST be at least 1/4 burnt, or the captain's pirating license will be revoked. Who knew they were so much like us?
These unfortunate police officers have kindly demonstrated the OTHER reason this bridge has caused so many deaths. El Sleazo's Discount Construction; Bribing building inspectors for forty years!
Here we see Ribberts on his Model 76 Hover Laser; The latest a space pirate can get in matter-roasting fun! Remember kids, stay away from the glowy end of the laser. It's bad for your health.
Just look at him! You can tell this is a quality vehicle by the giant grin on his face.
That laser is made with 100% human bone. That's not what you wanted to hear, is it?
Here we see Geoffrey leading a small group of soldiers out of the city by way of some storage chambers. Little do they know they're being watched...
Yes. That is the chrome gold 3P0. Why would I have a SW tie-in to my own storyline if I didn't have something pretty to show off? And yes, I can sense your jealousy. It pleases me.
That's all for now folks! Tune in next saturday for another installment! Have a great day, but remember...
They're watching us:
I'm pretty happy with how this whole thing came out. I don't think I've ever done figs that were actually 'falling'. Sure, there's the MO entry where I have Geoffrey leaping into the ocean, but that was of his own choice. These poor fellows are plunging into a canal. Plunging is a fun word... 'Plunging'. Anywho, I like my little subterranean storage area, but it's a little plain to me... The next underground area will be way better, I can assure you of that. Anywho, thanks for taking the time to read me entire set of ramblings! If you actually read it, you get a cookie! If not, you can leave me a comment and still get a cookie.
Whoops, I kinda neglected this one...
@000 000: Thank you, I enjoy the flames and walls as well.
@Ben: Thank you kind sir, it is much appreciated!
@Thank you very much 2x4! It means alot.
@Dave: Thanks, it's my one of my favorite parts of the whole creation. I think it's also the reason this thing was born...
@Seth: Thanks! I plan on recycling the effect for the next scene.
