Hi!! It's been a ruff two weeks, but I managed. This is my entry for CarOlympics 2009, Round 1, Category "1900 - 1950" vs Henry Shepard
About this creation
If there wasn't CarOlympics2009 then most likely there wont be this creation. I never thought of building those old time cars before. So there goes thanks to organizators for
the experience I got while building this one. I must admit that these curvy old time cars must be the hardest thing to build, everything they got is round, but there aren't many appropriate round LEGO parts. This model also consumes lot of hinges to make it more acurate to the real thing. The real car's images can be found at
So you can go to this link and compare, how did I manage...
The only thing that I added is.. obviously.. the paintjob..
The car has:
- all doors
* It's stearable from stear
* Working V6 - RWD
* Adjustible seats, which I actually like to call sofas :D (guess why) :D
* Independent suspensions on all wheels
So, let's stop this bla bla bla and start to have some fun with exterior images...
I think I have to say thanks to Patrick for idea of presentic the model... ;)
Let's see what's under the hood..
As i mentioned, everything opens...
Cargo space - not much to see here, but still.. if someone is interested ;)
Interior - simple! Those old time cars don't have much in there - Just two seats (sofas ;)), stear and some "clocks"
Some random shots...
ok. That's all for this one. Hope you like it and let's see what CarOlympics will bring next. See ya!
I work in LDD and I KNOW how much work you had to put into this beauty! It's perfect, from where I sit. I think you picked the right scale to work in, too. Anything smaller would not look as good, due to the limitations of available pieces. And the flames, well; hot rods and flames go together like peanut butter and jelly! Excellent job.
This is one off my Favorite MOC ever. You build it in real Yet? I now you can order the bricks at Lego.com with the program L.D.D.. But it must be expensive. In now, watch the following link : http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/100481
Ít's my Plymouth Fury 1958 Lowrider.
But ..... Keep up the good work. Nice done. and .... nice colors.....
The is awesome. You did a great job at this one and as usual. But I would like to see one in real bricks. So this is very good. The colors are great, all the functions and the engine is a work of art. keep it up.
I love the shapes. Don't know how on earth you did it to work the way it does but I want those instructions on how to make something like this! The flames are something this car can do without. I think it only covers the perfect shapes and confuses. Besides that this is a true beauty!
I like it

i'm jealous with you, you can build with sr-3d builder, i can't use it because an error, or. Maybe wrong download link? tell me how to install sr-3d builder
Too good for words, one of the coolest digital works I've ever seen. I love the paint job too much, the overall shape looks just amazing and just like the real thing, also good to see all these functional elements including working steering from the steering wheel, I wish you could build this in real bricks some day. Keep on the great work >>> peace.. Firas

WOW, the best LDD car ive ever seen, i dont like LDD but this blew me away, btw how much does it cost?
It's not LDD, it's SR 3D Builder (L3B file). Well - I really like to build with real LEGO too, but I don't have them as many as I need to build something like that. I don't have this much spare money eiher. So I guess, if you want to build something like that, there aren't much options left. About that buying - well - contact me at Rolands.Kirpis@gmail.com so we could figure smth out. It's not a MOCpage conversation :)
