VDS Light Combat Gunship
Vigilance Defense Systems now brings the Light Combat Gunship to our standards. Although VDS sponsors several lightweights in terms of helicopter support, a dedicated unit was needed to fill the large gap attack helicopter/gunship. The LCG will now take the said role. Unlike many contemporary attack helicopters, the LCG does not sport an articulate or rotating chin turret. Instead, it is fixed with a smaller 20mm stationary cannon near the nose. Opposite of the said area is small camera and sensor package. To add to the weapon systems, the LCG generally sports two three-rocket anti-tank racks and two anti-air missiles for self-defense. Even with all of this equipment to add a bit of weight, this helicopter is more than capable of out-flying the enemy given it is a great deal smaller. Granted, a heavier airframe will be created to add even more firepower in the future.

Quoting 000 000 Is this in some way inspired by ghost in the shell? Anyhow, I love how you reversed the windshield, looks great.
Thank you. And yes, GITS was the main influence for this. By far, I must say that said television series is one of the greatest out there.

Quoting Xiazeran . Kinda spindly for a helocopter, but it works well here!
Thanks, Xiaz. It's nice to hear from you again; especially after a prolonged delay of activity. Hopefully, you may break this streak of absence and post a few new MOCs. :-D

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Me and Gus Indo were playing a MOCpages version of truth or dare, so yes, it was technically sarcastic.
Don't see how that works, but whatever.

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Yo dawg, do you think this is realistic enough for the RA-CAS-UEN? http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/153574
Is that a sarcastic question? Either way, my answer is no.

This has a very insectoid feel to it. Kind of like a dragonfly! Small, sleek, and looks manueverable as all get out. Nice build. Regards, Eric.

Man, I need to build a helicopter now. So many things to build... I'll start by putting up another artillery. Nice MOC, too.

Nice smooth, futuristic shape. I'd like to see this and the U-57 Mako of mine go head to head in a mock combat situation...possible airshow entertainment haha.

Has a rather interesting shape about it; a very unique design at that. Is this the same helicopter you showed me the WIP pictures of awhile back? You're definitely expanding your air power capabilities. Fantastic job yet again, Erik. EDIT:Fixed a spelling error. :P

Thank ye, thank ye. Actually, the WIP I showed you was scrapped because I didn't have enough of the right hinges to shape the cockpit like I wanted. So, this was rebuilt under the influence of Stephen Chao's GITS work.

Haha. Your "Mako" has durability and overall brute power, whereas my LCG is nimble and swift. I'd probably put my money on your "Mako" given it could probably outlast the competition.

Another creative helicopter. I love the white, and the nose is so unique! I really can't find too many problems with this, other than the fact that you should probably smooth out a few rough areas. Great work, it's a nice addition to your collection. I'll be adding my own helicopter in a matter of minutes, so check it out if you ever have spare time...

Well, apart from the nose, this is a fine build. Much better than some of the old UNE stuff you have.
