Greenfingers is a Hovering Robot suited for Horticultural tasks.
About this creation
The XPOD 4418-B (or 'Greenfingers' as it has come to be known) is a general purpose, gyroscopically balanced, hovering robot design that has seen much service in horticultural environments.
Because the hand manipulators on the articulated arms have been customised to the same sentistivity of a human hand, it can pick up heavy objects through to delicate objects, such as flora, without damage.
It is well suited to a wide range of tasks in botanical labs, hydroponic maintenance, agriculture (specifically viticulture due to its superb scanning and fruit harvesting capabilities) and is commonplace in many commercial and hobby greenhouses.
(After building the official pod design from the 4418 Dino Pod set, I thought it was somewhat lacking (there were several parts left over...) so in an effort to use them all, this is what I came up with! =)
