GearWolf
Setampunk mechanical walker, non-military
About this creation
This may be weirdest MOC I ever built, and even if not best - technichally very intresting. I was thinking about steampunk-themed walking machine, and the final effect is this. Why 4-legged? Because it is simplier to control than 2-legged, does not need so advanced gyroscopic stabilisers. I also wanted to give the GearWolf as much move possibility as possible. So it has legs with 4 rotating points, and a ball-joint between two torso part, which works like spine.

GearWolf's body can turn and flex, giving him kinda "realistic" look.

This happens when you pull not that lever that you were supposed to pull ^^

Standing on 3 legs is simple. Actually, it is possible to lift up 2 legs, so the model is standing only on 2. Pretty unique for something so flexible :)

No terrain obstacles will stop the machine. Not even something so dangerous and unpassable as the Little House ^^

"Mum, look, we've got a CAT on the roof!"

Here it looks like he was pushing the house... and this is what happened :D

"Are you sure that it won't make me wet?"

Kill da Bioniclish creaturez! Crush and kill to them all! (and still, this is not a military machine :))

The head itself is nothing more but an ornament. And actually, doesn't look scary or wolfish - rather friendly, little dog :)

GearWolf needs crew of 2. Pilot controls movement of legs, and engineer in the back controls boiler for constant steam supply. He also controls torso flexing.

Engine and boiler details from second side. The tail has the same function as the head - just be :)

I like it very much! Looks great, 5 for flexibility, 5 for creativity, 5 for... well, everything. I just can't believe nobody commented on it yet. FREEDOM!
