Halloween at Wayne Manor
Wayne Manor has made it to school and the kindergarteners decorated it for the upcoming holiday...
About this creation
Thursdays we cook in the classroom and while one teacher works with the cooks, the other help the kids with their jobs. We also like to have an art-project out everyday, and on Thursdays it needs to be fairly independent.

I decided that a quick project would be decorating Wayne Manor (which has been in school since the beginning of the year) for Halloween; it's a really big deal at our school.

I made 11 piece pumpkins and black cats and pulled out enough pieces to make a lot of each. We also made (put together) skeletons and "spooky" flowers. The project was great for fine-motor work, and most of the kids (5 year olds) were able to follow the examples. Those who couldn't got help from their friends.

Here are the kids working on assembling the parts. (yes, these pictures comply with my school's acceptable use policy)

They got to place the creations where they wanted; but they do like to move them around!

A closer view of the three components.

I liked this skeleton picnic they created.

Yea! Halloween time; let's give kids sugar!

I bet those kids really enjoy having that in their classroom, if only every school was like that. I especially like your black cat design. 5/5

Quoting corey lopez The kids must have real happy for what you let them do, and it looks nice. There is one thing I ask though. I saw the skeleton pic and the chairs they were in was the answer to my problem. I've been trying a design similar to it but didnt come out right, do you mind if I use the idea?

That a really cool idea to do that! I now suppose you're a teacher... Your Manor's playability is crazy, I imagine I had that in my classroom, while I was a child! That would be cool to come and see my unique big MOC too! :-) http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/252434

I've never been so jealous of 5-year olds. You actually let kindergartners near your Wayne Manor? Thats like giving weasels hand-grenades on the danger-scale isn't it? Commendable sir, well done.

It'a always good to see kids getting into the hobby, but then add to it that you're making it part of the learning process and it goes from good to AWESOME! Oh, and when you're ready to move this thing, if you need help, gimme a buzz. I'm only about an hour away, even in traffic. ~ Chris.

Next...Dave's trade school for budding Lego professional's! (Man, I would've loved to have had Lego in the classroom even just once.) Very cool to see the Manor being displayed and utilized in the community like this!

I think it's great that you're passing on the love for all things lego to the kids. Oh, and has anybody ever mentioned that you seem to have an insane amount of lego? ;)
