The popularity of the Saber series of shuttle craft has been resurrected thanks to the new Gamma class. The Gamma class corrects and improves upon the Delta class, which was one of the less popular classes of the Saber series. The Alpha class still remains to be the most popular and most wide spread in use and in the greatest numbers despite its age -- the Alpha was released on the market before the Alpha Centauri conflict 80 years ago. For those who love the Saber series of shuttles, the Gamma class is considered the penultimate of the series, and has reawakened the love of many for the Saber series.
About this creation
The Gamma class was the last of the ever popular Saber shuttles. Afterward, CosmoTech Industries, retired the Saber shuttles and began development on longer range shuttle craft. The Saber shuttles were done at a time when jump drive technology could only be shrunk enough to allow for short to medium range at best for such small vessels. With the improvement of that technology, small vessels in this size range could then travel greater distances. But, it necessitated new designs and new construction techniques to allow for a shuttle to house the new jump drive technology. Thus, CosmoTech Industries, began work on the Starwing classes, beginning with, of course, the Alpha model of the Starwing class shuttle.
Colonel Azhan, leader of the 200 telepaths that serve as agents for the Telepath Agent Special Operations Corp (TASOC), a "black ops" division of the Earth Alliance Space Corp. The Telepath agents of TASOC have been known to rely heavily on the Delta class of the Saber series of shuttles, and now have upgraded to using the Gamma class.
There are many secrets that Colonel Azhan, who is considered by all of the 200 telepaths of TASOC to be the leader of their people, keeps from his regular human commanders. The biggest is their plans for their day of liberation. Another secret is the fact that he has offered a small contingent of telepath agents, who were trained to be experts in combat, martial arts, and with various weapons, to be the body guards of the royal house of Naxos. In exchange for this cabal of body guards, called the Crimson Guard, Naxos is secretly helping the telepaths with the resources they will need to make their day of liberation a possibility. The Crimson Guard also rely heavily on using the Gamma class shuttles.

Fascinating, and yet that, and all other references involving Crimson, Guard, or any combination of those two words, has no bearing on my using that however I please. |

Extremely good, yet it looks a bit low-tech against the Black Hand :)
Thanks, I was sort of striving for just a touch of that. It's psuedo-civilian, and the Black Hand is top grade military. So the Sabers are equipped with what's available on the open market, and the Black Hand has been refitted with what is tops available to the government. |
