Halo Elites
The Elites, or Sangheili, are, aside from the Hunters, the most awesome species in the Covenant.
About this creation
Before anything else, I would like to thank Sabre-Scorp for the Plasma Rifle design, and Mondaynoodle for the Carbine and Fuel Rod Cannon. Scorp also gets thanks for the original inspiration, even though my design is radically different from his.
I think my Elite design is a good representation of the core of the Covenant military. It captures the broad-shouldered, slender physique really well, and also shows the awesome mandible/mouthparts. On the left of the above picture is a Zealot, my favourite type of Elite other than the Councillors, and he is wielding a Carbine. In-game they only ever seem to use Plasma Rifles and Energy Swords, but I just loved the way he looks with my favourite of all weapons introduced in Halo 2. On the right is an Ultra, my least favourite of all Elites, duel-wielding Plasma Rifles.

The Plasma Rifles on Halo: Combat Evolved, were much better than those on Halo 2. They sounded heaps cooler, and the plasma traveled faster, could be fired semi-automatically, and the plasma's brighter colour looked better as well.

"Wort, wort, wort!"
I hate the fact that Elites speak English on Halo 2. I understand the need for them to speak it during the cutscenes, but I wish they had kept them saying things like 'Wort, wort, wort!' in-game, instead of English phrases.

Gold-armoured Zealots are the coolest of the Elites (aside from the Councillors, which you never get to fight against (though they appear on the last level or two of Halo 2)). Aside from the Councillors, they are also the highest ranking, though Ultras have tougher shields.

A Zealot with the Fuel Rod Cannon. I reckon the Fuel Rod Gun on Halo: Combat Evolved for PC looked and sounded heaps cooler, even if it was less direct.

Size comparison with my mannequin, Frank. Elites are supposed to be 8 1/2 feet tall, but I suspect that is only when they are standing up real straight. They seem to be closer to 7 1/2 in-game. And if you check the scales, my Elite is about right. (Remember each line is 1 1/2 feet, not 1ft.)

Quoting commander kronos those are really good and you do get to fight the elite councilors and some brutes are wearing theyre armor and look really ugly
I can't remember ever fighting against Councillors. You fight WITH them a few times as the Arbiter. Maybe you're getting them mixed up with Honour Guards, or maybe I've just forgotten. EDIT: Actually, I think I can remember fighting ONE of them in High Charity, or the Gravemind level.

Yes, I am aware that the size comparison is a shocking picture. I know it's hard, but try to ignore the blurriness.
