Debra Cadabra
A Halloween spinning top for Yuri's contest.
About this creation
A Top for Yuri's contest and first thing i've posted in yonks. Enjoy!

Debra Cadabra is an apprentice witch. On all hallow's eve she steals a wand and tries to commune with the dead, but bit off a bit more than she could chew...

The chains are a pain in the butt to fit on the hands of the Ghost as the shroud gets in the way, but i'm pleased with the look.

Obligatory Halloween props - Jack O' Lanterns, Spiders, Frog cameo for Ghostman.

It really spins! The skeleton in the middle is secure enough to be used as the 'twirler-grip' (A technical term that I coined and hereby copyright.)

Wheeeeee! When seen in motion, it does appear that the ghost is chasing the witch around and round (you'll have to take my word for it as i've got nothing which take digital video at the moment.)

The underside showing the 'spinning medium' of a 1-round flat. It works a charm and sits flat when not spinning. Spin time is 10-15 seconds if I hit the sweet spot.

The brick-built crow is one of my favourite parts of this. Piece count is 50 if each fig is 3.

Comments are always welcome and happy Halloween!

You got some very nice building techniques on the creation! The 'twirler grip' with the skeleton, and the 'spinning medium'. A great little MOC and well presented. Good luck in the Yuri's contest and Happy Halloween! ~ Ghostman :)

Love the entire concept behind this and the execution is even better! Now do one with Debra's naughty sister "Ho cuss Poke us." I hear she likes to talk dirty... ~ Chris.

Excellent creation! This is very original and the fact the ghost appears to be chasing the witch is great. Best top I have seen so far.

Very very nice! Looks SWEET. Look up twirler-grip on google, your creation is the fourth link. :D The other ones say stuff like "twirling grip"... Definition please. :P All in all, great MOC! 5/5

Awesome Halloween entry! Really in the spirit, if (coming from a country that only recently "borrowed" Halloween) I may say so :)
