Lego Nerd (Halloween Costume)
Inspired by Chris Phipson's Lego Wear category for the MOColympics, this costume consisted of various Lego accessories.
About this creation
I hope you enjoy this look at my school Halloween costume. Please note, I am donating the tie to Creations for Charity, which will help Toys For Tots by purchasing Legos for underprivileged children. You can find the store here:

www.bricklink.com

The part that goes around the neck is those long blue tubes from the Gungan Sub set with black and blue cylinders strung on.

A few technic pieces held the parts together; it was surprisingly sturdy.

The glasses were a little uncomfortable around the nose, but they stayed on.

I popped the lenses out of a pair of old frames so I could actually see. They came out very steampunk.

The belt didn't look like much, but it was made of Legos AND it kept my pants up.

Close up of the 'buckle'.

Here's another shot of the whole ensemble; the pen and pencil were in my pocket.

I'm the Lego nerd, my co-teacher, Amy, is carrying the Lego baby.

We decided the baby's name was Brick.

WHAT!? You don't know what steampunk is? Well, when I started out I guess I didn't know what it meant. Anyway, 5/5 I just love this stuff. ~Stay green my friends

You are so in the wrong business. Fashion - that's your new thing. So, I haven't seen your name on this list: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/11687 Get on it. Unless I missed your name. In that case, shoot me a bunch of annoying e-mails. Preferably in the form of high-rated comments.

Happy Halloween to you, your co-teacher, and that creepy baby. I swear to goodness I'm going to dream about that thing coming after me with a knife . . . All in all, a very cool MOC, and very fun, too. Wear that belt to Brickworld and start a trend!

Wow, that's great! Must be hard to build a costume in scale and that fits! in the pic where you´re wearing the stuff, the belt almost looks like a real one! The glasses looks a bit weird around the eyes, anyway it´s very cool! The tie very cool, too. Great job!

While the tie is very clever, I'd actually buy that belt (if it comes in very XXL). Great ideas.

Well, the baby is kind of creepy (in a cool way), and the tie is a tad phallic (not a bad thing), but I am loving that belt. Happy Halloween. Lee.
