For Brickcon this year I decided to go the distance (literally) and haul my entire city up to Seattle from Southern California. The drive took four days and over $300 in gas (round trip.) While several of my buildings required repair upon arrival, they fared pretty well for traveling 1200 miles.
About this creation
This gives an idea of what I was facing during set-up. Several of my buildings needed repairs before they could be situated in my city. The result was a set-up that took 4-5 hours.
The following pictures were taken during the public hours of the convention. Lots of people liked my stuff. :)
WOW! 1,200 miles to a Lego convention with tall buildings is a momentous undertaking, having done that myself in August for FrickFair in Tysons Corner (suburban DC). It's amazing how the sum is greater than the parts with MOC's like this. And this is one more piece of inspiration to me to do some street scene for my towers. Thanks...
