On the Set of Nosferatu
This is part one of a two part episode of "On the set of Nosferatu" a monster movies studio creation.
About this creation
When I discovered the Scary Studios theme a little while ago I got uber excited as the Universal Studios Monster Movies are among my favourite films ever. The minifigs from these sets are wicked!! but the sets themselves leave a little to be desired, so beginning with the Vampire / Dracula's Crypt set, here is the first of my attempts to better them.

meet the cast: from left to right: Dr Van Helsing, Jonathan Harker, Count Orlof (aka Nosferatu or Dracula), Mina, crazy little dude who eats rats and spiders and his name has sliped my memory... is it Renfield?

meet the crew. from left to right: camera man, boom operator, director, random crewman. To be cont...

Awesome! The 80's were the best decade for music, and especially on vinyl. I just ordered some Minifig sets from Volume II, and I hope I get the Vampire! Blah!

Quoting El Barto ! Well, I have no idea if she had braces or not, and as far as the NSync shirt....
Nope, never had braces. Kiwis have perfect teeth under their beaks. And NSync is a little after my pre-teens time... I was an old-school Kylie Minogue girl when I was 12. "come on, do the locomotion!"

LOL at the conversation. El Barto that would be really bad... Leda this is much better than my third MOC - your actually using Lego for a start and it does have a purpose, it came out looking exactly like it should :)

Whoa El Barto, it can't be that bad.

You mean it's like looking at pictures of yourself as an awkward preteen with braces wearing a N Sync t-shirt?

Quoting El Barto ! I don't remember even seeing these sets. Looks great--Just in time for Halloween! But don't forget to brush (refer to Dentist MOC) Yikes!
Ah yikes! I get so shamed out when people comment at my early works... this was made nearly a year ago and was only my 3rd moc ever. I hadn't even found my feet much less taken a step with them. But thanks for the comments all the same :0

Quoting Tom Simon Love the MOC. I'm going bananas here.
This was, I believe my 3rd moc, lit with sunlight. I continued to use sunlight to light a lot of my mocs up until about 5/6 months ago when I finally got a camera, now I focus on different lighting techniques that my cell phone were unable to handle. Actually one of my fav moc "Dentist" was lit entirely with sunlight. What ever light your using, the trick to get it looking right is diffusing it. Lego is plastic, and a bright light pointed directly at it makes it shiny, so either place a thin white paper in front of it, or use frosted bulbs or set up a plain white area for your mocs and point the lamps at the white so that the light is reflected off that and onto the moc.

Love the MOC. I'm going bananas here. I've even read Alex Elyar's lighting tutorial. I almost wish I could just mail you my MOC and have you photograph it. OK, I get from Alex that using sunlight is bad. But, continuing in my vein of being a silly duffer: should I be avoiding the camera's flash like the plague? And if I've surrounded the MOC with 5 strong lights and getting a mix of both glare AND dim lighting, just how much of a silly duffer am I being?

Renfield it was. "Who wants to eat flies when you can have nice, juicy spiders! Heh-heh-heh-heh!" I can still he his delivery of tht line. Brrrr! I still think Bela Lugosi was a better vampire than Christopher Lee. Great Moc!
