A microscale monorail, with a special technique I found that allows a grill tile to slide along a line of adjacent grill tiles.
About this creation
Finally, with the small project of this monorail, I was able to find a good use for these annoying pillars I bought for $2.00 each. If the bases didn't take up such a large space, I would be able to use this type of monorail system around a whole city, if I did end up making one at some point. In this creation, this microscale monorail elevates a 50-person monorail nearly 100 feet off the ground. In this, I made a sample track. Normally, there would be a larger space than 250 feet between two stations. You can see the car going along, with a lightsaber hilt thingy on top. As I mentioned, this grill tile technique is a new thing that may not have ever been used by anyone before. I could end up famous for this.... But probably not. Anyway, I have found that with the grooves in grill tiles, you can put one on top of another, and they interlock to make a SLIDING grill tile. With this, I built a small monorail car that ACTUALLY moves along the track.
Here you can see how I used those pillars.
A view of one of the two stations. Sorry, no funny caption here. Really, this is serious stuff. Don't come here looking for a laugh. They seem to have ran out of stock last week; they were 20% off.
The other station. Not as good as station one, but they do have MUCH better service in the restaurant. It may be because the chefs check the expiration dates of the food they buy. Naw, that couldn't be it.
Here you can see the endless bland stretch of PAB white grill tiles. The blue tiles alongside them are just for extra balance. After all, about a third of the monorail car hangs off the grill tiles, so this was agreed by the city council to spend an extra $10,000,000 repair job on. Especially after "The Accident".
Here you can see the grill tiles all interlocking with the monorail rushing by. Luckily, this one doesn't have one of those horns, because it runs right through some of those fancy apartments that has a monorail boarding place right in the middle of the lobby.
