The first full-scale lego DP-28 on the interwebs! w00t!
About this creation
My first non-German WWII gun; the DP-28. It's an awesome gun. I like weird guns like this. The FG-42, Bren lmg, Type 99 lmg, Type 100 smg, and Sten smg are all awesome because of the way they're loaded. What makes this unique is because the magazine rotates as you shoot, giving it a new dimension when building.

This is the gun without the magazine. The magazine sits on the small piece on the very top. That piece rotates with each shot.

A more detailed view of the mechanism. Basically, this is the standard rubberband mech I use, but put in the gun internally. On the other side of the tri-wheel is a rubber belt (I was running out of gears, plus it looks nice) that turns more gears on the other side. Those then spin a horizontally placed gear that spins the magazine.

I could not make the magazine circular, but I had some pieces from the TIE Interceptor and the Dicovery shuttle. The whole thing is held together with a few rectangular plates.

My original barrel idea had the slits in it, but it collapsed repeatedly. I have a idea to do it with the slits, but it would end up multicolor. It should be easy to redo though.

I have no idea why that thing is on the gun. I don't feel like looking it up, either. Admire it anyway. NOW.

The stock is all red for one simple reason: who has enough brown to make it? The stock itself weighs about 1 lb., or 1/2 kg. The curve at the bottom took the longest to do, not because it was difficult to make, but because I was running out of pieces!

The trigger ended up being a lever that looks somewhat like a trigger. Considering this doesn't have a grip and the distance between where the trigger would be and the stock, it had to be long. Nonetheless, it is comfortable to use.

Last picture: unnecessary first person view that I put here anyway!

Yah! That's great DP! The stock could be better ( And te pics...) And if themagazine really rotates after every shot I will forgive these little "mistakes"! : D

Quoting Matty Mason This is one of my favourite guns on CoD:WaW. The barrel could be a bit thicker closer to the muzzle, and the stock should look different too. Otherwise, this is great. If only this came in BB gun form...
The only problem would be getting it to feed properly.

It is Diegtarow's light machine gun? Nice. But the magazine is too thin. Could you check out my guns and leave some comments?
